Linden Lab is proud to announce that Project Bento is now part of the default Viewer! Bento is probably the single most extensive update to the avatar skeleton ever, and as a result of countless hours of testing, updating, reconfiguring, testing… you get the picture, we are now live!

Now everyone can enjoy the extra bones creators have taken advantage of to bring you true quadrupeds, winged avatars, fingers, facial expressions and more.

We’re working on launching an all new set of Best Practice docs just for Bento. It’ll include tutorials and write ups brought to you by the Residents that helped make Bento a reality. Stay tuned for updates in the coming year.

To learn more about Project Bento you can visit the Bento Knowledge Base article for details. As always, if you encounter any bugs or issues please let us know right away by filing a JIRA bug report. We hope you enjoy this feature and look forward to seeing all the great things Bento can do for Second Life avatars. Grab the latest default viewer download to start enjoying Bento today!
