Help to makeover avatar and find job as dancer

I have been on here for a week or two so far and I met a dancer at a red light district club who was very nice and said if I could get some lindens as well then she would show me where to find some good products to make my avatar more presentable then she could get me a job as a dancer too. Yet the next day I saw she unfriended me. So what I am asking is that someone who knows the shops of second life that could direct me to find good mesh hands, shapes, and skin. Yet having money left over to get clothes that could start me out as a dancer that would be great! If you could help a newbie in need I would appreciate you so much because we all start somewhere :)

i would reccomend you first go look around at the Marketplace stores for styles you like. ( you find the link to MP at the Shopping menu at top of this forum)

If you found some, look if they have demo's, and try those. And if you like go look at a inworld store, the links are mostly at the products page  After you are sure, buy a nice set.

Most usefull are often clothes you can make combinations with other sets, you will have multiple looks with only a few items.

The same for skins and shapes, or if you have the courage... mesh body, but think you will need a lot of support for that last, mesh bodies are often a bit difficult to handle  for "young" avatars who have mostly not a lot SL skills.

Slink are by far the most popular hands/feet on the market. I almost always use the Casual hand pose, and the High feet are probably best to start with because you can find the most and sexiest shoes for them. ("Sexiest" being relevant for your desired line of work.) Together, they'll cost you around under $1500L, or around $5 USD. 

A shape you can make or mod yourself. If you want to buy one, look for MOD shapes - i.e., those with modify permissions, so you can edit any details of the shape you don't like. Also look for COPY permissions, in case you mess up! Transfer is not important; you want a copy/mod shape. Trust me.

My favorite skin shop is Pink Fuel. Some other great brands are Glam Affair, Curio, LAQ, and countless others. No good skin is cheap, though; although you can find some decent ones as group gifts sometimes. For the most options (make-up, etc.), be prepared to pay another $1500-$2000L at least, plus appliers for your hands and feet. You may be able to get single skins cheaper, but will have to purchase your own make-up options.

First get a nice shape. Some people offer shapes on the marketplace that are nice and have good proportions.

Some of those shapes are mod so you can change little things if you want, but make sure to keep an original copy of it in case you change it and don't like it.

For skins, I would go to the Dressing Room Fusion (Type that into SL search) they have items priced for no more than 70L and some are skins.

Visit Lelutka, add yourself to their group (free to join) and they have a wall full of nice hairstyles as group gifts.

Mesh bodies sell for around 3K. I would recommend Maitreya, it comes with mesh hands and feet. If you don't have that money to spend with having a nice shape+skin will help.

 

Also remmember as being a dancer in SL sometimes personally wins over a pretty AV. Don't be that gorgeous AV dancing but too important to talk to anyone.
