i deleted alts .............they still show why?

I deleted some alts {cancelled the account} but the name is still showing up in the dashboard login, why? how do I get rid of the names?

I suppose it's unlikely that you deleted a number of Premium accounts, since most people wouldn't have a number of Premium accounts, but if you did ..... remember that Premium accounts are prepaid.  When you cancel a Premioum account, you will still be able to use it and have all the benefits (L$300/week stipend, sandbox privileges, Live Chat ... ) until the end of the billing period that you paid for.

If you canceled Basic accounts, wait a day.  It can take that long for the system to catch up sometimes.  BTW, there's hardly any reason to cancel a Basic account.  It doesn't cost you anything to maintain, and an alt can be handy at times.  It will cost you $9.95 to re-activate one if you cancel it, but if you just walk away it will be there years from now when you decide that you need that av and all her stuff.

i think you  mean you see the names before you log in. That information has not really to do with SL, but thats your pw manager at your computer. Locate those files and remove it manually.

Don't know your system so can't tell where you find it.

These instructions work for Internet Explorer but all Internet Browsers do this in a similar fashion:

1) Launch your Internet Browser.

2) Using the Mouse, Click in the Secondlife User Name fields a few times and a list of stored logins will be visible.

3) Using the Cursor Arrow Keys, cursor to the name whose credentials you wish to delete.

4) Press the Del key on your keyboard.

5) If prompted, respond Yes to delete.

Those credentials will be removed from this Internet Browser

Repeat for each ALTs logins you wish to erase/delete.

Repeat this process for every Internet Brower you have on every PC you use.
