Short answer: No.

Long answer, there are some things out there that claim to prevent people from seeing your items but these are ignored by simply derendering them or even camming past the block.  Even going beyond the standard right-click and inspect, every detail about objects you have attached are sent to anyone who is near you.  It is required for others to display your avatar on their computer.

What Rhonda says is absolutely correct. You can't really hide this.

If items such as hair and clothes are mod, and you know how to build, you can replace the root prim with one of your own, and this hides the item from casual peekers, but anyone who really wants to know will be able to find out quite easily.
