That's a very good question.  Knowledge Base articles are revised continually as things change in SL, and Linden Lab does take suggestions from some residents.  Many of us who respond regularly in the forums wish that more of the articles were available in translation for the large number of non-native English speakers in SL.  Our own attempts at translating (and Google's attempts) can produce awkward results.  As things stand now, the rank/role arrangement of the forums defines the formal way that residents can be involved in changing things.  If you take a look at https://community.secondlife.com/t5/help/faqpage/faq-category-id/ranksroles#ranksroles , you'll see that only residents who have the rank of Helper can edit Knowledge Base articles.  I suspect, though, that there are other channels for doing special tasks like translation as an "independent consultant."  At least, I hope that there are.  If you are interested in trying, maybe the most direct method is to send a professional resume and a sample of your work to Linden Lab, offering your services as a translator.  Outline the work you would propse to do and your qualifications for doing it, and see what happens.  You can submit an application on line at http://hire.jobvite.com/CompanyJobs/Careers.aspx?c=qv79Vfwq&page=Apply
