why are my simple box textures deviding diagonally on my uploads

im uploading a simple box to put textures on the faces are devided in1/2 on the face what can i do to fix this the box is for linking several together at 2 equaling 1 prim as 1 sculpt is 2 prim to do same thing but thats beside the point im getting same result with all uploads so reduced it to simple box n cant get texture to accept to it without deviding diagonally on a square face
