Why does any object I right click, turn invisible?

I have had some problems when editing objects,clothes etc recently, when I right click on any object turns invisible therefore I can't see what I need to edit! After I end edit it returns visible! It was fine  a week ago and now I don't know why its doing this! I use firestorm viewer(not recent update) can anyone help me sort this out, its really annoying when you need to build and can't see what you are doing.

1) Take 2 aspirins for your headache.

2) Please upgrade to the latest version of Firestorm using the clean install method.

3) Test your editing capabilities in-world again.

It sounds to me as if have somehow managed to turn on what, in most viewers (dunno offhand about Firestorm), is Advanced>Highlighting and Visibility > Hide Selected.   Uncheck it and you should, with luck, be good to go.

It's possible you have "turn selected invisible" checked.  This can be a useful feature for getting at embedded objects, but I can see why it would be puzzling you.

To check this possibility, check the Advanced menu, Highlighting and Visibility, and un-check "Hide Selected" if it is checked.

I noticed the same issue earlier today after a friend transferred an item to me. I guess SL changed the Hide Selected setting during the latest update. All is good now. Thanks below for the quick fix. Gave Kudos.
