Why won't my alt left click work? it zooms out instead of in and I get minimal control

Every time I use alt + L click and drag, my camera zooms way out.

The only way I can zoom in is alt + L click then scroll wheel or L click + Zoom In (on menu), but then that gives me minimal control as opposed to alt-camming.

Is there a fix for this? Would appreciate any help!

(ps I am on a Mac with a basic Logitech USB mouse with scroll wheel)

I'm not quite sure what you are trying to do.  Alt + left click centers your camera on the spot you have clicked.  If you want to zoom, you have to scroll the mouse wheel.  That's the way it's supposed to work in SL.

Your mouse's scroll wheel handles the camera zoom and in some cases certain keyboards have wheels on them as well for this.
