Chriss Daysleeper
Here's what I'm talking about:It's completely fine on the left side, but as you can see, the right side is completely distorted and I can't find a fix for it. Anyone know any neat tricks to fix this? Thanks.
Freya Mokusei
Use planar texture mapping or cut via path cut, instead of using taper. This is normal behaviour, a result of how the triangles are 'squished' when objects are manipulated. Remember that a 'prism' is just a cube with either taper or cut applied. If you squeeze the top of a paper bag together to create a triangle shape, you'll squash the logo on the bag - same principle.
Chriss Daysleeper
Thanks Freya for the fast reply. A very simple fix, I can't believe I missed that.
Freya Mokusei
No worries, is the benefit of a second pair of eyes. Often it's just a different approach is needed, hard to conjure new thoughts when looking at confusing problems. Well done on taking a picture of the issue - it's one I see a lot, since I still work almost exclusively in prims. >.>
