I can't see my weapons in first person!

Hi, im fairly new to the game, and whenever I use a weapon, sometimes when I go into first person, I don't see the weapon in my hand, and sometimes, theres a different model where the weapon is showing sparkles and kinda bad texture, like light grey. Can someone help me on this? Thanks.

Mouselook always makes me nauseated, so I avoid it.  I discovered quite a while ago, though, that it's not quite as bad if I check the box in Preferences >>> Move & View that says "Show me in Mouselook".  If you do that too, you should be able to see your own body and the weapon you are holding.  I'm not sure what you mean when you say that your weapon is "showing sparkles and kinda bad texture".  It's possible that it simply isn't rezzing fully in your graphics card, but it's hard to tell from that description.
