Question

How can I render a beautiful skin using the SL Viewer (not Firestorm). Something like Nam's optimal skin. The answer below sounds so complicated. Is there an easier way to get good windlight settings on the SL viewer? I can't believe SL wants us all to look ugly. The way I look now is worse than when I was a noob and had to wear facelights.

It sounds like you want to move the Nams skins windlights into the LL viewer.

* Browse to your Firestorm install folder, by default this is C:\Program Files\Firestorm-Releasex64 for the 64bit versions of Firestorm and C:\Program Files (x86)\Firestorm-Release for the 32bit version of Firestorm.

* You will find all the pre-supplied Windlights skies  inside \app_settings\windlight.\skies

* Copy the windlight files you want to ave available in the LL viewer. (the Nams skin windlights are called Nam%27s%20Optimal%20Skin%201.xml & Nam%27s%20Optimal%20Skin%202.xml)

* Add the xml files to  the LL viewer install folder, app_settings\windlight\skies.

You will then have those Firestorm windlights available in the LL viewer.
