changed display name, but after relog its gone, anyway to fix?

Hi, I changed my display name and it worked for 60+ minutes while i was in-world, and when i logged off and came back, it vanished only showing my main sl name or id "not entirely sure its techniqual name". I had used a italic form of writing for my new display name, and was wondering if there is a way to fix this issue, or if there are any italic fonts that will work on sl display names someone can point out to me. Any help on this is appreciated.

The smartest solution is to avoid using special characters as much as possible.  They are cute, but they are not all accepted by the system, and they cannot all be displayed on in-world boards (like game leaderboards, prize boards, gift displays ...).  When they are not accepted, what's displayed will often be gibberish.  In the case of a Display Name, though, the name will just be rejected as unusable.
