Alwin's right.  You're getting whapped by two things: (1) other people are wearing avatgars and clothing that is WAY more complex than they should be and (2) you have a computer that is not designed for environments like Second Life.  You can follow the instructions at the links that Alwin provided and turn your complexity slider higher so that the jelly dolls go away.  However, remember that the jelly dolls are there to protect your computer.  Increasing the slider will slow down your machine and create some lag, and it may cause some overheating if your computer is truly lightweight.
