How can I get the lips to move when I talk? Button is checked.

I checked the lip move when speaking box and the sound is being received as the green sound is lighting up above my head.

that won't work if you have a mesh head, only with the standardshape and skin avatars.

Hi Christina,

If you don't have a mesh head (Alwin's covered that), it's possible that something you are wearing is interfering with the facial animations. I have a pair of shoes that prevents my expression HUD from manipulating my hands. Hand manipulations are akin to the facial manipulations needed to move the mouth while talking. My shoes don't contain any high priority animations that one might expect to interfere, so I'm at a loss to explain why they interfere with system level animations, but they do.

Gestures can animate the face as well, and there may be a glitch if you have gestures active. I think you can find active gestures in inventory by searching for "(active" (no right paren). Right click any active gestures you find and select "Disable" (that may not be the right word, but you get the idea).

Also try turning off your AO and removing things you're wearing until your your mouth begins to work.
