Question

I've tried everything from logging on to different accounts, debugging, waiting for it to rezz... Everything else seems to rezz fine even other peoples avatar. But mine stays as a cloud and its really starting to bother me.. Maybe its my computer or something else but I don't know.. Anyone know how to fix it? I've even uninstalled and reinstalled the viewers, used different veiwers and edited my apperance.

Hello Ike and welcome to SL Forums. At first try to rebake your textures with Ctrl+Alt+R. Repeat sometimes if it is necessary. If it doesn't help, test your avatar. In Viewer 2 give the command: Menu Develop (Ctrl+Alt+Q) --> Avatar --> Character Tests --> Test Male / Female. If it works you will see your avatar like a newbie but after you can change again outfit wearing your favorite one.

If you still have problem clear your cache under your preferences, setup tab, reset and restart the viewer. Login back in a protected land without lag like Smith, or Lime or Pooley. (If you can't choose it in your login screen give the command: Menu Me --> Preferences --> general tab --> show on login.) There open your inventory,  write something in search there and wait fetching ALL your items till the last one. When it finishes, try to change outfit, choosing one with just the necessary stuff (skin, shape, hair, eyes, pants and shirt) without any attachments.

If the problem remains, the last solution is to clear your cache manually:

(XP) - C: \ Documents and Settings \ (USER NAME) - Application Data \ SecondLife and
C: \ Documents and Settings \ (USER NAME)\ Local Settings \ Application Data \ Second Life

(Vista) and (Win 7) - C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ AppData \ Roaming \ SecondLife and
C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ Secondlife

Log out and delete everything in those folders and restart first your computer and after the program. Usually the folder Appdata is a hidden folder. (Windows Tools \ Folder Options \ View & enable Show Hidden Files/Folders)

Have in your mind that if you clear your cache manually you will lose all your private conversations which are saved in your computer. To avoid it copy the folder with your username in the folder Secondlife in another position in your hard disk.

If you have more that 1 viewers installed in your computer, you must to do it for all following the same paths in your hard disk.

For example C: \ Users \ (USER NAME) \ ApplData \ Local \ PhoenixViewer

Repeat the same process loging back in a protected land, open your inventory etc. That means you download again, you get back your inventory. During downloading avoid to do something like teleporting, moving chatting and also avoid to run other applications. Good luck.
