Account hacked, resulting in Loss of Funds.

Question

Dear Linden Labs,

I logged in today, May 24 2016, and discovered I had 6000L less in my account. Upon further checking, suspicious purchases were made through my account by an unknown SL user. I have attached screenshots of the account activity showing such unauthorized purchases.


Please assist me in sorting out this matter to recover my lost funds and review my account to ensure that the same hacker cannot access my account. I have taken the first step to prevent this by changing my password immediately.

Read http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Account_Security carefully.  You have already changed your password, which was an excellent first step.  Once Linden Lab receives your report, they will lock your account for a few days while they investigate. 

For future reference, it is very difficult to "hack" a SL user account, and not really worth the trouble for most accounts.  It is much more common for people to give access inadvertently by either sharing passwords or falling for a scam.  Read
