Question

individuals constantly pushing other avatars and using scripted objects to disrrupt the peace in a public area.

I have submitted over 50 reports with pictures the past 3 weeks to TOS about this individual so far nothing has been done.

Now does TOS  look at the reports being submited os is just a waist of time submiting them.

thank you

ToS doesn't mean what you think it does. ToS = Terms of Service. The piece of text that determines the rules LL has set for Second Life. You are not submitting anything to a piece of text, but to some support guys working for LL.

Aside from that there is no known milestone after which LL takes actions. Its also questionable if 50(!) ARs from the same person are going to be effective. Its possible that it doesn't do as much as you think it will. And those guys are probably swamped by reports anyway.  If I were you, I would simply move on, because there is absolutly zero reason for you to constantly hang around a place that is griefed and uncontrolled by anybody. Its defnitily faster than waiting for support to take action, too.

Also even if there would be some action against this griefer, he could just create a new account and continue. Just being realistic here.

Linden Lab doesn't use a numbers test to decide which griefers are most serious, so it doesn't make a difference that you have submitted 50 ARs in 3 weeks, especially if they are all repeats.  The governance team gets dozens of ARs a day and gives the nastiest ones their highest priority.  Pushing and disturbing the peace is annoying --- OK, very annoying -- but it's trivial compared to crashing a region with replicators or strewing around devices that trick people into giving access to their accounts. LL turns its attention first to real griefers that cause real harm.

If you are having trouble with specific people, use your powers as the landowner to eject and ban them (or get the landowner to do it, if that's not you).  Set up a security orb with a whitelist to allow your friends in but keep others out.  Or, as Syo says, find somewhere else to go.

Syo and Rolig are quite right, and their advice is good.

Fifty ARs against someone pushing people?  You remind me of the person in Chicago who phoned in twenty thousand complaints about aircraft noise.  At some point, repeated griping makes people just tune you out.

As Rolig says, you have the tools to deal with this kind of annoying behavior yourself...or the land owner does, if the land doesn't belong to you.

  • SIT on something!  No one can push you if you are sitting down.  Or use a shield or a movelock, if you have one.
  • Eject and ban the annoying person.  You have to be the landowner to do this, or belong to the land's group and have the appropriate permissions in your group role.
  • Mute the annoying person.
  • IGNORE the annoying person.  Nothing bugs an attention-seeker more than being ignored.  Don't talk to them, don't respond in any way.
  • Go somewhere else.  There are over 20,000 regions in Second Life!
