Blocking

What does blocking do?  And when should I use this option?

blocking = muting

depending on the settings the blocked person will disappear or only show as cloud.

You can use it at annoying people, griefers... or just for anyone you don't want to see, contact.

As soon you send them one single message the blocking will be undone.. so if you use it, don't fight in IM after blocking

Whether you ever use the blocking feature is a personal choice.  In over nine years, I don't recall ever having blocked/muted a person, but I have blocked quite a few spammy objects.  I know some people who block other people all the time.  It's mostly a matter of how you deal with people who annoy you.
