  2. Hola! Desde ayer estoy iniciando una actividad donde tengo que ir de sim en sim recogiendo una gotita de agua, pero resulta que eventualmente despues de cierta cantidad de teleportes se me comienza a cerrar el visor, he tratado de hacerlos al menos con 1 o 2 minutos de diferencia y moverme en el sim. Pero llega un punto donde se queda colgado y comienza a desconectarme. El problema no es ese, sino que despues de mas o menos unas 2 o 3 veces que se cierra, se me bloquean todos los scripts que tengo puestos (con esto se van huds, cuerpo mesh, cabeza mesh) en sí todo lo que tenga puesto que tenga un script ya no funciona, me pasó ayer 1 vez aproximadamente a las 3am (slt) y tuve que volver a abrir las cajas donde estaban mis huds (por dicha los tenia guardados) pero tuve que comprar alguno que no era copy. Hoy comencé de nuevo la actividad y para mi mala suerte volvió a suceder. Ya no se que hacer o porque pasa. ¿A alguien le a pasado algo similar? ¿Que hago? AYUDAA gracias!

Been looking all over and have bought many.....to many scripts that just don't DO what I want them to do....so trying this :} What I am using them for is selling Framed photos that play on a timer or touch, its 2 prims, so what I need is, Will PAY reasonable sum of course, you can also sell as scripting cause NONE do all I need them to do.....and that's not really much.. #1, To run from popup menu !! [so many don't] #2, Have one face for PRE-Loading and one for Display, "can edit script a little",or via config.note card, for what face's and multi face #3, Transition options ,Like, Fade,Glow,Rotate etc etc. by choice or random, also VIA menu #4, Timer set VIA popup menu from 5 seconds up to an hour, VIA increment buttons on menu. #5, Play,Pause,Stop,Next,Previous,Random,Sequence, buttons also on Menu, so they can scroll textures #6, Textures and Frames will be COPY/MOD/NoTrans, Scripts need to be Copy,Mod,Trans, will set to NO Trans in creation can also be NO MOD if i can change things VIA note config, so the scripts will need to work with NO TRANS textures [bought a few that didn't....] #7, there will be one set of scripts for the frame and one for photo, meaning the frame and photo will have separate controls, want them to chose or randomize options for both, does not have to be 1 script that controls both if i can drop the same script in the frame and photo.   9. Hello all, I hope to get help about next owner object permissions please! I have a full perm object with full perm script in it. I right click on that object to set permission to next owner as 'copy - no mod - no trans'. I gave the object to my friend. In her inventory indeed it shows that the object is copy-no mod- no trans. But when she wear it, click edit it, it is fully mod even to the scripts inside. She tried to send it back to me and it is also transferable from her inventory. So basically she has a full perm object when I already limit next owner permission. My second try is I set the script in that object as copy-no mod - no trans, set the object as copy-no mod-no trans, put the object with script in a prim box which i took back to my inventory to set it as copy-nomod-no trans to the next owner. I gave her the box. She opened the box and get the object. In her inventory the object said no mod - no trans, but still she is able to fully mod, see the script and transfer it to me. My third try is that I ripped off the script from the object, copy the content, made a new script inside the object and paste the content in. I set the content of my script to no mod-no trans, and take the object back in my inventory. Now the object is no transfer @.@ and the object is my prim (created by me) @.@. I set the object down and set the script inside it to copy - mod - trans (aka full perm), take it back in my inventory and now it is full perm again. I set the full perm to no mod- no trans, and gave my friend, the same still happened: In her inventory it showed no mod no trans and yet she has it full perm. I wonder if it is a problem about script that prevent to make it non-full perm? Or what problem is it? It isn't the first time it happened that the permission showed in your inventory is different than what showed in world. Once I brought a copyable product. In my inventory it clearly show that it is copied. When i rezzed it, it isn't copyable. Any advices would be appreciated! Thanks

  14. Since I'm garbage with scripting anything, I've been trying to hunt down a script that simply randomizes certain sounds when I type without animating my avatar, to no avail. Anyone have anything that could help me out with that? I'd also be willing to pay someone to simply write the dang script for me, so there's that. In any event, thanks a bunch!

If anyone's looking for a way to llSleep() their script, but don't want to prevent event queues from mounting up during this time-period, I made a function that you can just plop into your code and use in the same way as llSleep() and it'll get rid of the nastiest part of that function. So a little while back, while the forums were offline for the new site update, I had a question I wanted answered: what loops are fastest in mono, and what stipulations should be taken into account when scripting them? As it turns out, this is quite an interesting topic that has a lot of commentators scratching their heads. Well, I'm not here to talk about efficiency, but I am here to definitively conclude which loops appear to be fastest (and when they usually are). Using a simple script that can be found below, I conducted some tests (in mono) to see what loops finish fastest with no arguments inside of them to test the true speed of the loop itself, from a practical approach without considering the theory behind it. My results could be considered a little odd, as the answer of 'fastest' actually appears to vary based on how many iterations you happen to be looping through. The results of my particular test are printed below, as concluded by the script found at the end of the page: 'for' loop time to 100: 0.000000 'for' loop time to 1,000: 0.024513 'for' loop time to 10,000: 0.044505 'for' loop time to 100,000: 0.596119 'for' loop time to 1,000,000: 6.318980 'do-while' loop time to 100: 0.000000 'do-while' loop time to 1,000: 0.030374 'do-while' loop time to 10,000: 0.114235 'do-while' loop time to 100,000: 1.198419 'do-while' loop time to 1,000,000: 12.739420 'while' loop time to 100: 0.000000 'while' loop time to 1,000: 0.014845 'while' loop time to 10,000: 0.116710 'while' loop time to 100,000: 1.200627 'while' loop time to 1,000,000: 12.317580 loop time to 100: All loops evenly matched for practical purposes. loop time to 1,000: 'while' loops beats all; 0.015529 seconds faster than 'do-while', and 0.009268 seconds faster than 'for'. loop time to 10,000: 'for' loop beats all; 0.06973 seconds faster than 'do-while', and 0.072205 seconds faster than 'while'. loop time to 100,000: for loop beats all; 0.6023 seconds faster than 'do-while', and 0.604508 seconds faster than 'while'. loop time to 1,000,000: for loop beats all; 6.42044 seconds faster than 'do-while', and 5.9986 seconds faster than 'while'. In simple conclusion, loops are a funny business and they can vary based on many probably factors. Please use the script to do the experiment yourself, as learning is always a personal endeavour! I hope this was helpful at least to someone, and that it might lead to better scripting habits in the future for all.
