  1. Hello! I need to add a dynamic camera to the vehicle script. How to do it? When I just add the parameters I get an error Script trying to set camera parameters but PERMISSION_CONTROL_CAMERA permission not set! Thats the vehicle camera i have: llSetCameraEyeOffset(<-10.0, 1.0, 3.0>); llSetCameraAtOffset(<0, 1.0, 0>); (Do I need to keep it?). I need to make it: llSetCameraParams([CAMERA_ACTIVE, TRUE, CAMERA_BEHINDNESS_ANGLE, 24.00, CAMERA_BEHINDNESS_LAG, 0.10, CAMERA_DISTANCE, 5.00, CAMERA_PITCH, 18.00, CAMERA_POSITION_LAG, 0.00, CAMERA_POSITION_THRESHOLD, 0.00, CAMERA_POSITION_LOCKED, FALSE, CAMERA_FOCUS_LAG, 0.00, CAMERA_FOCUS_THRESHOLD, 0.00, CAMERA_FOCUS_LOCKED, FALSE, CAMERA_FOCUS_OFFSET, <0.0, 0.0, 0.0> ]); What did i missed?
  2. Hello! Here is such a script that allows to zoom in/out pictures, but there is a problem, it inverts the picture upside down. Is there a way to solve the problem, except how to turn the object itself? default { state_entry() { llSetTextureAnim(ANIM_ON | SMOOTH | SCALE | PING_PONG | LOOP, ALL_SIDES, 1, -1, -1, 0.5, 0.1); } }
  3. Hello! I want to create a hoverboard (YEAH!) using a Ferd Frederix's open source script. I guess will have a lot of questions about this later. here is the first one. In addition to the main script, there is such a short script, which seems to be placed in child prim. What is it for and why does it not do anything for me? integer stuck = 0; default { timer() { if (!llGetStatus(STATUS_PHYSICS)) { if (stuck < 1) { llSetStatus(STATUS_PHYSICS, TRUE); stuck++; } else { llSetPos(llGetPos() + <0.0, 0.0, 0.5>); llSetStatus(STATUS_PHYSICS, TRUE); } } else { stuck = 0; } } link_message(integer sender, integer num, string str, key id) { if (str == "idle") { llResetScript(); } else if (str == "get_on") { llSetTimerEvent(1.0); } } } Actually it does something. It makes hoverboard physical, when i rez it, but what is the purpose of this? and perhaps it does something else?
  4. Hello! In the Open Sim in one of the landing points (Lani Mall) there is a kind of path that pushes the avatar forward. You don't even have to move or go, it delivers you to the mall. a kind of "horizontal escalator". How is this done? using a script? and how to repeat this effect?
  5. Hello! I want to create a teleport effect script. you know such an attached particle emitter is triggered when you teleport the avatar to a new place. I do not know from what event to start it. is it also possible to make it not work when simcrossing?
  6. ive made a pet-play agility course and would love to make a stopwatch and system to record highest scores, this would preferable be able to be cleaned every so often for competitions ect. anyone that could help id love to hear from im happy to pay a fee LOVE to hear from you
  7. I'm looking for a script that toggles the alpha states between two or more linked prims. For instance, touch the curtains and it makes the closed prim change to an alpha state and the prim behind appear, then back again on second touch. Is this a basic toggle alpha script I'm searching for? The majority of scripts I find are for singular prims, which is easy enough, but I can't find anything for two or more in a linkset. Can someone please point me in the right direction? I've searched the Marketplace, Outworldz, and the Wiki for several days now but I think perhaps I either can't see the proverbial forest for the trees, OR (and most likely) I am looking for the wrong thing so a little clarification would be helpful. Thank you in advance
  8. Hi folks! What is the difference between non-public (owner only can drive) and public vehicle script? and how non-public to make public?
  9. I’ve recently become interested in creating content in SL, and I can tell right away that coding in notecards inworld is frustrating. Would anyone mind stepping me through their workflow to create and test content and then push it up to SL? At least in general terms. I use Atom for other coding, and I see in the file-icons plugin for Atom that there is an SL icon, so there MUST be someone else out there doing it this way! What extensions do SL files use by the way?
  10. Hello! What is the easiest way to make the light blink using the llSetLinkPrimitiveParametersFast? Preferably not using a timer, since there is already one timer, and I tried to build it into it, but it didn’t work out yet. Is it possible at all?
  11. There is such a script, it unpacks, sends an invitation to the group and makes a delivery confirmation. and then it self-delete. usually it happens, but sometimes the following happens: when I install all three lines integer SEND_ON_REZ = FALSE;//when set to false, you need to click the box to unpack integer OWNER_ONLY = TRUE;// set to true only the owner can unpack the package integer DIE_AFTER_UNPACK = FALSE;//when set to to true,the package will destroy after it given its inventory to TRUE, it refuses to self-delete. what could be the problem? // YOU NEED TO SET PERMISSIONS ON THIS SCRIPT TO: // [NO MODIFY & NO COPY] OR [NO MODIFY & NO TRANSFER] integer delivery = 0; ///////////////////// CONFIGURATION ////////////////// key your_uuid = "00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000000"; // type your key UUID here string PRODUCT_NAME = "Product name here"; string PRODUCT_VERSION = "Version numbers here"; string CREATED_BY = "Creator name here"; string PRODUCT_NAME_TEXT = "Product description here"; string TOUCH_TEXT = "Click Me To Unpack!"; string UNPACKING_TEXT = "Unpacking...please wait"; string SENDING_ITEMS_TEXT = "Unpacked, Now Sending Items..."; string UNAUTHORISED_TEXT = "You are not allowed to unpack this."; string GOOD_BYE_TEXT = "Thank you for your Purchase ! 12. Hello! using gestures, I can assign the same sound several times. they will overlap each other and the result will be a VERY loud gesture sound! Is it possible to repeat this in one script, using llPlaysound several times, timers, for example, somekind of tricky way? or something else? btw: Is it possible to activate such a worn gesture with the help of a script?

  19. hi! i am making a script which will zoom texture in and out. but it zooms in too close and out too far. how to fix it? i need approx. 2x zoom only and 1x1 zoom out. default { state_entry() { llSetTextureAnim(ANIM_ON | SMOOTH | SCALE | PING_PONG | LOOP, ALL_SIDES , 1, 1, 0.05, 1.0, 0.1 ); } }
  20. I build tracks and other buildings, make mesh and dabble in scripting. One of the shortcuts i wondered about was to replace the tedious task of dropping scripts individually in 100 - 200 pieces of track (easily possible via drag and drop inworld). I tried selecting multiple pieces but then they will not allow one script to go into to all the pieces. I had hoped to do it via scripts but so far I have not found a method which works. In all cases I have to have a script in the prim I'm trying to drop the script in for it to work - which kind of defeats the point. Does anyone know of a way (function) to use a script/hud etc to drop a script into an empty prim, via for example - touch, collision etc. I dont need a full script, just a pointer to how it may be done (although I think it might not be possible). Thanks
  21. Hello! Everyone knows texture changers / installers for vehicles. You place them near object and it changes texture. I am looking for such a script or the installer itself, allowing you to change all three types of textures diffuse normal specular (materials). Tell me where I can get it? Is it hard to write such script?
  22. Hey. I'm trying to create or find a ready-made script that changes the textures of certain faces of certain prims in the linkset when placed in the linkset or as a rezzing installer. (Like the one used for vehicle livery appliers etc). I found such a script, but I don’t see where to put numbers of prims. so I doubt that this is what I need. maybe I just misunderstood the description? If somebody can read scripts, please tell me is it what I need? Help! TEXTURE CHANGER WIKI
  23. I need a custom payout scirpt and willing to hire a scripter if the price is reasonable. I could probably create it lyself, but that would take a lot longer as I'm still learning LSL. CONTEXT: I role-play in wild western theme, so the idea is bandits rob a bank and hide the loot ( a rezzed prim pile of money) - with clues dropped around and found through role play. If they find it then they (or any one person in the immediate group of people finding it) click on it then it pays them real L$ and it deletes itself (LLDie). Basically: A treasure hunt - if found then prize money. I've scoured MArket Place for what I need and it either does not do what I want, does not exist, or I'm using the wrong search terms. Requirements: Full perms script (If I pay for it, it's mine, including any resales, etc.) It is "prepaid" - meaning I set the entire pot that is paid out before it dies (by notecard or menu is fine). Winners must be in-range (I am thinking within 10 or 15 meters - preferably a variable I can set.) If more than one person is in range - then the payout is auto-split evenly amongst those present (so will require Agent Sensor.) Ability to choose and set an *expiration* by time or date - so that if it is never found: it will self-delete or go inert (in days, weeks, or months (or total number of seconds, etc.) The ability, once it is set-up, to "Activate" or "Deactivate" it. (Live or Dormant) Once clicked on by other than owner, regardless if payout is successful, will *auto-delete* (LLdie) - to err on the safe side (rather than vice-versa). There could be other requirements that I'm not thinking of right now, but these are the main ones. Payment on completion and demonstraion of finished script. Initial proffer is L$1,000, though this is negotiable. If settings are made directly inside the script through variables: that is okay. Please PM me here in the forums if you are a scripter and willing to discuss business proposition. (IM in world is okay, also - but this account name is my alt - so it is easier to discuss things in PM here in forums until we agree to do business together.) OR: If you want to create this script and sell it yourself in your own Market Place then I will buy it, provided it is Full Permissions (including modify) and reasonably-priced.
  24. Hi! I have some problems with rotating I would like to trigger an event (loop a sound, while an object rotating (linked object, nonphysical, and not rotating by llTargetOmega). So the best would be to get something like integer isrotating = TRUE or FALSE But I also thought if that is not possible, to get the value of the rotation of the z axis and trigger the even if the rotation value changing (so decreasing -- of increasing ++) Any of these are possible? Also there is a way to limit of the rotation of an axis, so stop at between two angles?
  25. Hello, so I have been working on a project that needs "self driving" cars. Those cars are not meant to be used by real players but rather move from point A to point B. At the beginning I had some options for making the car move by itself. The 1st option i was thinking was using llMoveToTarget but with this function the car can't rotate and when it reaches its "destination" it doesn't completely stop and drifts a little bit. The second option I was thinking about was using llSetPos+llSetRot in conjunction with a while loop set to the destination. Though it did work making the car moving the delay in the scrip made it look extremely artificial and not really usable. So i'm turning to you, great minds of the Internet for a solution. If any of you folks have anything to suggest I would be pleased to hear. Thank you guys in advance.
