  1. Hi, I'm looking to get 2048sqm of double prim mainland or 2x1024sqm parcels beside eachother. I've money sitting waiting to buy this at the right place for the right price! I'm not after anything fancy, I don't need water, I don't need 2/3/4x protected or anything like that. The only request is that it isn't (general) rated. Expect an instant sale if you make a good offer! I've been scouring the grid so I know what the prices are generally like, and that they are usually set by landbarons who sit on the parcels for months without shifting them!

  3. I build tracks and other buildings, make mesh and dabble in scripting. One of the shortcuts i wondered about was to replace the tedious task of dropping scripts individually in 100 - 200 pieces of track (easily possible via drag and drop inworld). I tried selecting multiple pieces but then they will not allow one script to go into to all the pieces. I had hoped to do it via scripts but so far I have not found a method which works. In all cases I have to have a script in the prim I'm trying to drop the script in for it to work - which kind of defeats the point. Does anyone know of a way (function) to use a script/hud etc to drop a script into an empty prim, via for example - touch, collision etc. I dont need a full script, just a pointer to how it may be done (although I think it might not be possible).   5. Hello! I came across a vehicles in which the sound comes not from the root prim but from another, for example from a motor. but at the same time in the motor prim, I did not find the script. How to make the sound go from not root prim and from child prim in a link set without an additional script?
  6. Good evening, I became interested in the question: of how to make the HUD always dress correctly, from any point of attachment, I did it. But now I have a question. Is it possible to write a script that will dress any prim as HUD? For example, I will choose to attach to my left hand, but the prim will be dressed as a HUD anyway.
  7. Hello! I need to create a script for the four parts door sliding. the door must be linked to the building. Each part do not enter one into the other, but come in behind one after another. Parts can simply move from one position of all parts to another. Any suggestions greatly appreciated! Please, help! reward 500 ls.
  8. Hello! I have a question for ACS/KCP users. I make a truck and it is very important that you can walk inside the body. I created a simplified cubic physical shape with hollow inside, when I upload a model, I press the analyze, and everything goes fine. But the body turns into a convex hull when used, and I cannot walk inside. I manually set it to prim, but after reload it goes back to convex hull. I asked a question in a group, but did not get an answer. Generally a very bad service, yes, there is a site with a description, but it feels like they left me alone. Author never responds. Maybe it is a somekind keyword? I am using "solid" and "mesh" keywords - no help. Or I am even ready to switch to the old version (I am on 7.02). I use the viewer without Open Sim, so I don’t think that's the point. Any suggestions?
  9. I pay for a Premium membership. So I have to buy more land, so I can have a place for my stuff. I have a kitchen table but only one chair and my allotment is overfilled? Is this the American Dream. Isn't there a way to increase Prim allotment without increasing land ownership. Seems like it would be the first thing to insure in a fantasy world, where we escape in order to feel like we have more room than the real world.

I have never initiated a thread to post a link to my own blog before, I don't know whether there are guidelines around that or not, but it always seemed inappropriate, however, I am making an exception today, and depending on the ratio of trolls and hearts I guess I'll get my answer on whether it is right or wrong ? The reason I decided to do this, is that in spite of many years of mesh accounting, many good posts both here and elsewhere I still see versions of this tale playing out across building groups, including the one that inspired this post, earlier today.   12. How can I move the root prim of a linkset without moving all the others? llSetLinkPrimitiveParams(LINK_ROOT,[PRIM_POSITION, pos]) moves the whole linkset, which is documented in the notes. llSetLinkPrimitiveParams(LINK_THIS,[PRIM_POS_LOCAL pos]) moves the whole linkset.
  13. Hi everyone. I have ideas to landscape my new land but will need to use large objects so mesh would bring up the land impact too high . That leaves sculpty as the only choice because you can stretch them very large and not increase land impact. The question I have is will they create too much lag? I have read that some sculpty creations are very lag intensive and create a lot of lag,while some others that are made better do not. How do you evaluate a sculpty to know if it is made well or not, and is there a way to test how much lag it will create?Are there creators that make sculpty landscaping items that are made better and do not cause lag? Thanks

  15. I am working on a house, and when I create linksets, a prim looks like it shifts, I unlink it and it shifts back, is this a bug or am I doing something wrong? The linksets consists of 64m prims so I am using the sl build tools, number of prims within the linksets are approx. 8 prims, however, none of the prims in any of the rooms shift, it's just the balcony.

  18. At first it seemed not too difficult to tackle the following problem, but in the end I did not manage to do it. Rotations are the story of my (second) life :-) The problem: I have an object consisting of several prims. When someone touches the object i would like to point one of the childprims to the avatar who touched the object. See attached picture. The rotation of (only!) that childprim only need to be done around in its XY-plane, so only a rotation around its Z-axis. Does anyone has a working solution? Thanks in advance for any help.
  19. I'm going to start off with an example leading into a question. Example: Your friend invites you to a group for the land they own. You move in with them and have a piece of furniture (We'll use a couch as a reference example.), This couch has //NO COPY, NO MOD, TRANSFER// permissions. Subject: If I decorate our new room with this couch and one day the owner of the land kicks me out.... Question 1: Will I still get all my //Transfer only// objects back? Question 2: What would happen if the object would be returned? Question 3: What would happen if the object would be deleted by someone else? Question 4: Is there any chance I would lose the object?

  21. Hi I purchased a dynamic maternity advancement feature from Funsies. To start it up I had to rez it on the ground and set it up. I have found I do not like it and have been attempting to delete it. The funnies objects tend to be prim hungry. I have deleted all the objects related to in from my inventory and emptied the trash Yet when I am at home - and only at home, I still get messages from it. [20:41] Dynamic Maternity Advancement: Dimples misses daddy Which I think means it is still rezed somewhere on my property. I have used the parcel details - objects - show. But do not know how to bring the names of the objects up. When I try to 'show' and look around often the highlighting goes away. I fear the object may be invisible. i am using firestorm but also have second life viewer. Is there an easy way to find an object in your home? Thanks Millie
