Joining a ride out can feel intimidating. If you're new or inexperienced you might fear that you'll be too slow, or ping-pong on track walls, slam into other riders or worse, embarrass yourself by slowing the whole group down. However, experienced riders not only understand your plight, but we can also be helpful with inside tips. Often, it's not you, it's the bike you're trying to ride. Get a loaner bike from one of us, try it out, see if it fits you, and if it offers the control you want. Don't let your concerns keep you from giving a ride out a try. We all have a good sense of humor about riding - and that makes it worthwhile. While Mavericks MC has a top-level Blade Runner track that pays homage to the movie(s), The Blade Runner Sim by Hera (Zee9) is a total win for visitors. It is as dystopian as the original 1982 movie, as enticing and playful a romantic place as you'll find inworld (the sim is Adult rated). I hope everyone who don't mind a little "A" rating go ahead and give this remarkable jewel a look. Totally worth it - while it lasts! Sim Tip: The Blade Runner Sim (Adult) (mein-zweites-leben.blogspot.com) Directions: You'll land in a skybox, use the TP down, land in a subway, and walk up the stairs into the dystopian Blade Runner World. DtA is a newly opened sim featuring SL tutorials beginning in Central Park, NY (with 7 custom US States motorcycle levels above) and finishing by traveling to a new Galaxy in Stargate Atlantis City. Newly onboarded SL residents can learn, ride horses, fish, play cards, toss flaming shuffle balls, ride motorcycles, and much more. http://maps.secondlife.com/secondlife/Secret Island/207/132/21 If you're looking for a cozy sim to drag out the Christmas spirit this sim is right for you. It is a riding sim dedicated to the winter theme. Don't wait too long as they change the track with the seasons. When you enter the sim you are greeted with a cozy barn with horses and the MC board. While exploring this beginning part of this sim there were several things that popped out at me. The first being the horse barn. From reliable sources I've been informed the breedable horses are a family run business. A wonderful selection if I have seen any. Plus there is also rezable horses to ride. Perfect for a winter stroll among the cabins. Another interesting location on this level of the Sim is the Memorial to those who have fallen in 911 and the bombings of Kabul. It was a very beautiful memorial and worth stopping for a look and read. As we work our way around the first level we will also take note of the game area and the childrens playground. Then we begin to head upwards to the next level. On level two we come to a city area complete with full size stores selling bike merchandise. In the central area is a sitting area in the form of a park. A turn to the left then a turn to the right and were headed back up. Going up into the third level we pass through a fenced area and right into a jungle theme. As we wind our way through the jungle we come across quite a few sections on different platforms areas that hold monkeys and gorillas. Complete with jungle gyms these family raised marsupials can be seen playing around the area as you drive by. Leaving this area and continuing on the the next we come to a mountain resort theme. This area is complete with the log cabins and warm comforting fires. Driving through this area bring you home to the winter cabin feel in the mountains. The further up you go the higher into the mountains you are. There is also a large cabin with a large fireplace setup for large gatherings. Heading out of the mountains we change into a cartoon world ripe with the season. We now enter whoville a complete replica straight out of the book. We have the Dr Seuss homes trees and even the people are from the famed childhood tale. As we wind our way through the village right in the center we even have the iconic whoville christmas tree with whos singing around it. The journey doesn't stop there as we continue our journey up we even catch a glimpse of Cindy Lou Who and her family plus the mean ole Mr. Grinch. If you can't tell this area is by far my favorite. However as with all things we must continue on. The next area that we happen upon is a marshlands type area complete with homes on stilts. The background is starlight mountainous scene with a lake. As we traverse this track we begin to find ourselves with more perilous areas of track. Broken road that seems to have fallen into the water. Quite ingenious. Another thing to note here is the quite large area to stop and rest. When we transition to the next area it is much the same as the last area except for the lack of water. This area is more like plains than wetlands. This area has sharp turns but besides that a gentle scenic ride. There is a beautiful gazebo to even relax at and take a load off while enjoying the scenery. This next section makes all the others dull in comparison for riding purposes. This is the challenging part of the track. Complete with tricky jumps and a daring triple loop it certainly took me through my paces. The theme here is a city park feel complete with stone walls for the track and old fashioned lighting to light our way. Kinda felt like driving through central park with a challenge lol. If you find the Loops too much for you fear not because they were kind and placed a bypass. Once we battle our way through the parks obstacles and burst into the next area we are met with more of the same park theme only now we have reached the top of the Sim. Complete with reindeer and a gazebo we have reached our destination. Be sure to tip so that they can continue bringing us more themed Sims in the future.

When you first land in Ghost Mountian riding course you have a picturesk view of scenic pine trees ad log cabins all covered in snow. After wandering around and doing some exploring the bottom part of the sim I discovered a motorcycle shop, horse trail with a horse rezzer, and a water ride. The Water Ride will lead you through a very scenic fishy winding track that is a must see. Giving out a free breathing mechinism so you wont drown while underwater. Much apreciated. Once back up on the other side where you rez in at I decided to take the oportunity to forgo the bike and place a different type of beast between my thighs. There was a wide selection of horses to choose from in their rezzer but I decided to choose honey who tends to be my favorite. It was a lovely walk and though I could have chosen a different pace to go it was nice to slow things down for once and take in the countryside. The second level which could have easily been atained by both horse and motorcycle easily enough is home to their horse barn and areana. If you are needing a place to house your horse here would be a place. Beautiful countryside to run your steed and plenty of trails. They also boast of auctions I have heard if you are interested in that sort of thing. After making my rounds with the single horse power I deciced it was high time I put a few more back between my legs and said goodbye to honey and hopped back on my ride. I speed through the second level and was amazed to a stop a the third level. It was just like being back at the fair. It was a circus theme with rides and games and several chalenge courses. In one corner as well was a spot where you could sky dive with free parachutes available. After reliving my childhood and playing some put put I decided to move on to the next level. Soaring higher on my motorsteede I knew the next level was one from my worst nightmares as I passed a little house and a tornado. Then my worst dreams came true and over the rainbow rang in my head. There in front of me was the yellow brick road and everything. As sims go it was well done having the two sepperate directions to choose from one headed off in the direction of the yellow brick road and the other headed off to the red brick road. I figured I would be silly and take the red and found it led back around to the yellow after giving a cute little message. Ill leave that detail out so you can read it yourselves when you get there. 😉. As you follow the Yellow Brick Road up round and round, higher and higher, you get to meet all the different characters from the movie. Dont get lost in the corn field and you do just fine. Eventually you find the Emerald city and Good Witch who points you the way home, or in your case the next level. This one is interesting. Durring my rides so far I have seen paintball courses but I have not seen one this well detailed. It is a wild west themed and it incorporates the track into it. In fact the track becomes a dirt trail that winds through the old west town that has people standing around. Warning if you by chance hit those people, they will explode. (its kinda funny) If you plan to paintball there I recomend it. lots of places to hide and great cover for an all out assult. Going up and out of the chaos of the paintball wild west wars (lol) its a lot more sireene in the marketplace. This place is fill with everything that would tickle your fancy from clothing down to food items up to vehicles. You should check it out. It is really a neat find. I spent almost an hour there and I still dont know if I saw everything they had. continuing on brought me out of the country and into a city it wasnt a huge city but it was quaint. Nothing much to report on that part of the sim. Moving on. Inbetween the city level and the next level up there is a cute little rest stop with a diner. Wonderful Idea to just sit and take a break for a minute. The only sugestion I would add to the diner is maybe add some table and chairs. It was a little empty in that reguard. It would have been nice to just sit down and enjoy a milkshake or old fashoned soda from a prop in the diner. Just a sugestion. After my break I headed on beginning to feel a chill in the air I noticed that the landscape around me had changed to Ice and snow and I was in a winter wonderland. It was spectatular. I always enjoy a ride in clean crisp air and this day was no exception. Words can not give discription to the beauty. You will just have to go see it for yourself. As I left whe winter Wonderland I began to feel as if I was in a different wonderland entirely and not the entirely good kind. An Alice in Wonderland kind. Right off the bat as you enter this part of the sim you have a warning sign with a teleporter to the next level if you do not wish to participate. Being I would be writing about the Sim I chose to partake in the trial. What a trial. Roads everywhere and the signs give you no indication of weather or not you are going in the correct direction. All I can say is just look for up and keep that in you mind at all times. I have no clue how I made it past the gardens I guessed lol. It was fun though and I have heard that there are worse ones. I found the exit and wound my way up to the next level. I will point out here that this level it says that it is under construction. So I assume that there is more to come of it, maybe. This area is tron and I loved it I spent 30 minutes just zooming around the center loops before heading up the next ramp to see what lied next. and what lied next was... The END. It was a blast and I hope you all enjoyed the ride with me. I will be back soon with another ride. The holidays have kept me hopping so hopefully we'll see you again next week with another new ride. Sometimes when riding a motorcycle most bikes by pressing and holding the W S keys will raise the motorcycle out of a mishap such as going off the track or getting stuck in a wall. Is the adjustment to raise the motorcycle up done in the script or though the motorcycle's menu? I bought a motorcycle the other day that when pressing the W S keys the bike didn't raise up at all.
