    Mesher Needed

  2. It is a meshbody survey over at Seraphimsl, and when you complete it, you fill in your SL name and have a chance to win a mesh body of your choice. I wonder, what would you choose, and why? It is one male and one female to win. I start: I would take the female Legacy, since I have Maitreya Lara, Meshbody Classic (free), Slink Physique and Belleza Venus.
  3. Whatever happened to the Genus Project? Thing is, I have been told by a number of people that the Genus Mesh Head is the best thing for new avatars as there is a version for 1L$, but on searching I can't find a valid teleport link for the mainstore. Does anyone know if they are called something else now, or have they sadly gone out of business? Can anyone point me in the right direction to get a new mesh head? Thanking you in advance if you can come back with something

    Physics Issue

    Hello, i've encountered an issue which I can't seem to get my head around. When importing objects into SL, I've been importing mesh with a physics shape too, which is analysed and imported. When the mesh is set to 'prim' the physics works perfectly. However when objects are linked together and set to prim, sometimes it doesn't work. Which is fine, so I then go and unlink the objects to their individual parts, set them each back to prim to apply the physics shape only to find that they now will not apply the map at all. Leaving objects being completely phantom. I cannot get my head around how to get the physics shape to apply again. Incidentally, I'm also having an issue where if I duplicate a mesh object, for example something i'm using as a floor. The duplicated object doesn't have any physics applied to it either, despite whether it's in PRIM or Convex hull. Is there anything I can do?

In search of someone that is capable of designing 3d mesh hair designs ranging from numerous different styles ( curly , straight , braided , long , short , etc ) Rigging isn't necessary as i already have a rigger that is ready to rigg the hairs to fit multiple sizes.   9. Anyone else know why this happens. Example: Large mesh plane, divided into 4 equal texture faces. When camera draws out a thick black line shows on the joining edges. In the photo attached, the black line shows at all distances. So my real question is about unwrapping in Blender. Is it better to always leave a margin? In the below example there was no margin when unwrapping the 4 individual faces on the floor.
  10. I have attached a photo of a random resident, some people (Not all) started looking like this about a week or two ago and i don't know why. I've been one SL for about a year and never seen this (I am using Firestorm Viewer) I asked a friend and he said he sees it too, advised me to turn up all the sliders in my graphics setting but it didn't fix anything and made SL laggy so i changed it back. Please let me know if there's anything else i can do, thanks
  11. suuuuper beginner question, i know, but how do i tint tattoos for mesh bodies? specifically a body hair tattoo applier for kuroo, i get as far as getting the tattoo onto the body in white, but im stumped as to how to tint it, so id really appreciate a little bit of help, thank you! 💕 im not usually this inept at sl i swear!!!

  13. Status: Open for small scale projects (Please see my profile inworld ("zoxin Resident") for much more information regarding my portfolio etc as I cannot use links here). Greetings, To make this somewhat short, here are some of the things I can do for you: Custom meshes requiring their own rigging.* Rigging* Animations Props Buildings Graphics/logos/3D Logos Adult/NSFW gear. *What I cannot do for you: - Rigging to anything I don't have an external file for. - Creation for/Rigging to most human bodies (clothing etc). This is typically due to licensing issues. My entire workflow can produce many items from concept to fully textured and optimised inworld objects.   15. I'm 12 years and 8 months old in SL so you'd think I'd be an expert by now. I'm not. To be honest, I'm still a bit of a newbie. I'm a regular but infrequent visitor so I don't get time to immerse myself. I just love to pop in and dance, or wander through a beautiful sim, or ride a tram in a steampunk world. It's a bit of escapism for me. That's not to say I take SL lightly. Back in 2007, it seemed to have limitless possibilities. And in 2009, I jointly ran In-service training courses for UK teachers - in Second Life! Instead of travelling to the professional development centre, they joined in a six week course from their own homes. We sat on beanbags beside the sea and had presentations, videos, discussions, etc. In those days, you had a basic avatar and could buy clothes or get them free. The focus was on what you could do in a virtual word. But nowadays it's confused by higher quality graphics and I'm just left behind . . . My question is about Mesh and Bento - two words that mean very little to me so I'm looking for a real beginners' guide. I typed "Mesh basics" in search (you'd think that would do it, wouldn't you?) But I got a list of topics that included these words (which are, to me at least, pretty meaningless: "dev kits, canmesh, bento, Maitreya, Belleza, MAV_BLOCK_MISSING, Blender, Mesh Multi C&T, Mesh body requirements on RP Sim, Bentomesh head, rezzing, catwa meshead" OK, I do know what rezzing is, but what if I didn't? How do newbies ever get started and how does an oldie like me even begin to understand what's going on? I need a pointer to a basic guide if anyone can help please. I have a pretty standard mesh (convex hull 1LI) door with handle, viewing panel and frame and I have a script that can pivot the door which I can add to the door and manipulate swing direction and handing. So what's the problem? The problem is that both door AND frame moves. I only want the door to move and the frame to remain in place and the only way I seem to be able to do this is by unlinking the door and frame, which then turns my 1LI mesh into a 21LI. Clearly I am doing something wrong, but none of the solutions out there can give me the answer I need - I can therefore only come the the conclusion that I am doing something so fundamentally wrong that the solutions do not even consider that. Please help!
  17. I am a long time SL player, but been away for years. Everything has changed. Can someone explain to me, very simply, how these mesh bodies and clothing works? I have looked through the topics but I am confused. I have a Redgrave body and skin, but looking for clothes is a headache! I dont under stand these terms like fryia or the others. I dont mind getting a completely different avatar, just need a little direction. Also, if it matters, i prefer more cute or modest clothing. Not the sexy stuff. Sundresses, boots, flirty tops, etc.
  18. Hello! I'm relatively new to Blender and using it within Second Life but have decided to use this lockdown as an opportunity to learn. I've come into an issue which i'm sure is just me doing something stupid. When assigning different materials to different 'walls' on my Blender models, when importing them into Second Life, I find that the textures on one wall will be correct and on another wall at a 90 degree angle. Is there something i'm doing wrong? Or is it a case of having to use materials wisely to combat this issue. Here's a photo for an example of what I mean... Any help would be much appreciated!     So i just purchased the Legacy body and Lelukta head Nova . Once i put on the legacy body and try to attach the head only the teeth and eyes show vice versa. Any idea on how to fix this ?

  22. Id like to look into hiring a mesh designer for a certain piece I want created. someone who can give me the finished mesh item and maps associated with uploading into SL. Is this the area to post such a request? Thank you
  23. I have a custom species I designed and I am looking to have a male and female head made for.them. Preferably unrigged, but with talkjaw capability and some expressions if possible. I am even open to animesh as I would love to see them brought into the 21st century. I don't need texture work done, just an AO map so I can texture them myself. Attached is a screenshot of the female head I need made. The male would be the same but with a straight slope from the forehead to the snout. Im willing to pay whatever the artist feels is fair within reason!
  24. I just started using Blender 2.8 and this is the third time im making something and trying to upload it to SL but I get this error. I tried using Firestorm, SL Viewer and that third one S something. They all give me that same mistake. The object itself has 15.000 verts and i don’t really understand why the hell is SL forbidding me to upload it. Can someone help please?
  25. When I zoom out from my mesh, the seams show. I noticed that when I save my texture as png, the seam is dark. When I save as non-png, the seam is light. How do I get rid of this? It only happens on my baked textures, not on textures straight from substance painter. I add padding and a background to my baked textures though so it should not be an issue.
