Everytime i enter a new area it asks if i want to play the radio "Allow now" "Allow always" "Not now" But it's doing it every time i cross EVERY new area, In a vehicle it's really noticeable. How can i get it to stop asking and just play things?? I don't want to have to "Allow always" for every individual place. I tried turning on all the settings in Preferences > Sounds & Media but still does it, Getting irritated

If I embed a video in a webpage using iframe and allowfullscreen, I'm able to see this video on the Web in full screen. But if I stream a video onto a prim using the same webpage, the allowfullscreen option does not work, although all the other controls for the video work. I wonder if there is a way to solve this. So I've been having this issue for the past few weeks. I go to click my TV when it's at the google screen and nothing happens. Scrolling through my settings tonight , I find that my whole Media auto-play is greyed out. Can't select the drop down menu at all. None of my more tech friendly friends can figure it out. I also do not have a virus protected enabled. Here is a Screenshot of what my settings look like for reference. I'm not even sure I know how to properly ask this question, so forgive me for that and that variations of this question have been asked and answered so many times over the years, I'm not sure which one applies. Some TV's in Second Life - or more accurately their routers - will set a parcel media url based on whatever url is playing through the device and then some version of media on a prim to display on multiple screens/surfaces simultaneously. As parcel media, this allows everyone on the parcel to watch the same movie, for example, roughly in sync. VEA TV's do this. They're the only ones I've found that do. They appear to be deprecated though - still looking for Flash I think - and I'm not sure they're still maintained. Others can do so via livestreaming - OBS for example - but that requires more computer resources than seems necessary and runs a higher script load on my parcel for each screen broadcasting. What I'm trying to do is movie night, showing the same movie on eight screens simultaneously for everyone on the parcel to watch roughly in sync, as much as possible with different connection speeds and such. My question, as well as I can ask it, is how does one make media on a prim (or mesh) work with parcel media, and secondly how to make an object set and change the parcel media url based on the url sent to the object for playback. Again, apologies if I was unable to find where this question has already been answered.

So I was having some conflicting audio streams from neighbors and changed some settings in media access, specifically deleting the 2 or 3 whitelisted domain items under media filters, when now it seems all the tvs screens are red, as if a highlight beacon is on them all. It's not just my home, but the rest of the region as well. My TVs work fine with sound and video, but just that annoying tinted red persists on my screen through all browsing. Any help would be great. I'm hoping it's just something simple I missed or misclicked. On other viewers, the screens are white and normal, so it's narrowed down to firestorm for me. Fixed: ctrl+alt+shift+n was the culprit. Had media sources on to be highlighted.

Ok so I've been trying to make my own personal television with media capabilities, naturally I decided to use YouTube as I quite frequently use it irl. An issue I've noticed is that after a while the page refreshes, while I'm watching it usually, I had lock repeat on because I thought that would fix it but sadly it did not. Does anybody know a way to fix this? Is this just an issue with the media system in general?

I have a media Player that once in a while does not record the location on the face to put the MEDIA llSetPrimMediaParams(LINK_THIS, [PRIM_MEDIA_AUTO_PLAY ,TRUE, PRIM_MEDIA_AUTO_SCALE, FALSE, PRIM_MEDIA_PERMS_CONTROL,PRIM_MEDIA_PERM_NONE, PRIM_MEDIA_PERMS_INTERACT, PRIM_MEDIA_PERM_NONE, PRIM_MEDIA_HOME_URL , URL_ART, PRIM_MEDIA_CURRENT_URL, URL_ART ]); I have tried setting this vert and horizontal size and all is good until it does it again . I have tried putting in llSetLinkPrimitiveParamsFast(llGetLinkNumber(),[ PRIM_TEXTURE,ALL_SIDES, "5748decc-f629-461c-9a36-a35a221fe21f",<0.0,0.0,0.0>,<.30,0.3,0.30>,0]); /* Blank texture */ which does resize the screen but if this code in same piece of code the media is in it will no longer play Media with the blank texture line in it but only a blank texture on it instead . Is there a way to set the face texture /media vector size above through the set media parameters that I have overlooked or is there another workaround please ? I should have also said I tried the obvious llSetPrimMediaParams(LINK_THIS, [ PRIM_MEDIA_CURRENT_URL, URL_ART2, PRIM_MEDIA_WIDTH_PIXELS ,0.30, PRIM_MEDIA_HEIGHT_PIXELS,0.30]) ; Which made no affect at all the only thing that corrects this is edit and change texture settings there must be a work around to do it by script? Now this i think is a problem as I have a different texture with different size when the item is switch off. Is the only workaraound at this image is cirrently 1.0,10,,1.0> to make it three times smaller and set this as base as the same <0.3,0.3,0.3> size that I want the have coordinates to be ? I did try this with my image starting at 256x128 and ending up with 32x16 before i could get half of image in at <0.3,0.3,0.0> Clearly at this point the image degraded so far that this image was not viewable. I am left setting it at 256x128 and scale at <1.0,1.0,0.0> and looking for a different solution can anyone help?

I've been designing my little living space and I had a question regarding Second Life's policy on images from copyrighted sources. Not to sell or anything, just to display in my room. Specifically, there is some official video game art/posters I'd like to put on a canvas, or maybe a movie poster. Is that allowed by Second Life or completely prohibited? Thanks for your time!

My partner and I are working on an in-world media player using media on a prim face (set via the texture tab in Edit). We both see, for example, YouTube videos in world without a problem. However, while live webcam feeds work fine in my home pc browser, in world they work for her but not me. I only see the message "Your browser does not currently recognise any of the video formats available." I have set Firestorm to use my own browser, not the built- in one; changed my default browser from Firefox to Microsoft Edge; compared using the official sl viewer; changed my internet connection (between wifi to my own mobile data dongle); and been through the Firestorm wiki guide to media problems, all to no avail. We can’t see any difference in our pc/browser/viewer setups that would explain this failure of shared experience. Has anyone else experienced this issue (and solved it!!)? -

I've read a few articles documenting that some many villains in American movies, TV shows, video games, etc. have British accents. What do you guys think about this phenomenon? I think it's an example of "othering", stereotyping people who are not your own. This othering would probably stem from nationalistic pride after Americans drove the British away in the late 18th and early 19th centuries. -
Media (music) stopped playing in one region (Franks Jazz Club). Received it fine on first visit then nothing but sound effects on following visits. Music media plays everywhere else ok. How do I reset?
