In a nutshell. Im an avid paragraph RP'er here in Second Life. Im in the habit of posting long descriptive paragraphs in local chat. I understand that if I write something that is long it usually divides it into sections and it does a double post (which is normal) but as of recently I've had this problem where I post a lengthy paragraph and the last part shows first and the first shows last, so they're reversed. I've no clue how to fix this, I been in preferences trying to figure out if it's something to do with the way chat works or is it lag. I have no answers. So if anyone knows about this please let me know, because its driving me nuts . I've tried the usual fixes, clean installs, resets, detaching objects and nothing. Same ol thing.

yesteday i had a very strange experience, i was chatting with 2 ladies and suddenly the things lady one wrote appear with the name of lady two and the other way round. My question is now, is this a bug? They promised me, that they are not the same person behind the avatars. Iam unsure if i should believe this. maybe someone has made the same experiences and can help me

I thought I wanted to downgrade to Basic, but now have changed my mind. There doesn't seem to be any mechanism for reversing this process other than through Support, but Chat is apparently unavailable and my anniversary is on 2/25. Meanwhile, I found a piece of land that I want to buy, buy am restricted because of this ongoing downgrade. Is there some actual way to access Chat or Support to reverse this process? It seems like it should be easy. Should I just submit a ticket and wait? I'm afraid I'll miss being able to buy my land. What's with the Chat client? -
According to this page: http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Linden_Lab_Official:Residents'_privacy_rights , it talks about you can record conversations if you have a sign present. See the attached image, that I added. Found this today as I was out exploring. Found out the page they reference in their sign is from 2012. It's part of the Wikipedia, and probably hasn't been updated. Just curious to know if this is still a thing, or now that we are in 2018, long after this article was published.. No sharing.. AT ALL.

Ever have that feeling that you own an outfit but cannot find it in the mess that you call an inventory? Hi Community I just started learning LSL and decided to write a script that reads the chat and analyses the messages sent by my fishing rod to automatically calculate some income statistics. But somehow I cant get the script to listen to those messages generated by the rod (spoken via "llOwnerSay" i guess). Using this listener code doesn't trigger a listen event after a fishing attempt gets posted to the chat: llListen(PUBLIC_CHANNEL, "", "uuid-of-my-fising-rod-here", ""); Am I doing something wrong here? Or is it even possible to listen to those messages? Thank you for your answers

When people talk on local chat, I always get those messages scrolling, as a "toast" on my screen when I am in another chat tab. I was able to disable them as a toast but they now show up as a chat bubble type thing. I want to hide all local chat from showing up when I am not viewing it. You know, so it is not in my way of clicking or reading something else. I want local chat to stop showing up on my screen unless I am actually in the local tab like normal. I just can not find in the viewer ho to do ti. Thoughts? Thank you.

Couple questions. When did the update take place that stopped my IMs from being sent to my email because my email address was unverified take place? It started happening to me sometime in the past couple weeks but I would like to know how many days of email I have missed. Also, because IM to email turned itself off when I wasn't looking, would my offline IMs still have saved to my appdata chat transcripts? Thanks in advance.

Hi. I would like to make a HUD to control my boat. The boat only listens to public chat commands from its owner who is sitting on it, and presumably also a crew member who is also sitting on it and has been given the controls. So, it seems I need a function which will make the HUD's owner/wearer say commands to local chat. But all I can find is functions that make the HUD say things, which the boat ignores. Does anybody know of such a function? Thanks a lot.

So I'm working on a script, and I've hit a road block of sorts. So what I'm wanting to do is, I have a listener set up, I want to type the name of any named texture in the objects inventory and than have it set that texture as the objects texture.So simply typing "smile" would than find the texture named smile in the contents and know to use that texture, and than set it. But I don't want to hard code any of the names in, I want to make it so anyone can add their own images to it, and simply type what they named the texture in chat for it than display the texture on the prim Currently I have it just set to show any texture no matter what I type using "gTexture = llGetInventoryName(INVENTORY_TEXTURE,(integer)llFrand( llGetInventoryNumber(INVENTORY_TEXTURE)));" Tho my script is a bit more complex than just this bit, currently it can set animation x and y frames if the texture can be an animated texture, it can set the scale of the prim also, all by how I named the textures. So in theory it will be an emoter that will display images or animated images on just typing in local chat, and if it detects any of the words that trigger the emote it will change the prim to match accordingly. know i could easily just add a listen for each item, but I'd really like to make it be a bit more mod friendly for peeps that want to add their own images to the contents of the object. any help or pointers would be a great help. or point me to existing scripts for examples on what to do.

I'm using a linux distribution (Arch Linux) with the following characteristics: Kernel: Linux 4.12.4-1-ARCH x86_64 GNU / Linux. Hello, recently I bought some attachements that only react to chat commands like /1? , /1text , /1reset and so on. So, to no longer just enter those commands, I would have liked to create a dialog menu where I can choose the individual objects and then click on a button that executes the command. I have little experience in LSL, so some (better: a lot of) assistance is required. hope you can help me

Hi there, I'm Shiva! I'm always looking for people to talk (both in chat and in voice) with but I tend to engage myself more in casual conversations than in lasting relationships (I don't login always at the same time nor everyday; it happens that I don't login for months and then, for a week, I do it everyday, etc but I like meeting new people and explore the world in company). How can I engage people to just have a chat and explore with me, in an occasional way? Should I join a group or go to specific places? Or just IM someone interesting and say "let's go, no strings attached"?
