I'm trying to bake textures on a wall I built in Blender. Each time the textures come out black. I have blinding lights all over to illuminate everything. Other objects in the scene will bake properly. Any idea what I could be doing wrong?

Hello everyone, I'd like to understand picture resolutions and pixelation when baking textures to meshes in blender. Here I have a very simple node setup where I'm using a repeating pattern texture onto an unwrapped cube. The pattern image is 2220X2220 and I'm baking onto a baking image that has the same dimensions (I'm using "combined" as baking option). On the left is the rendered mesh up close, where you can see the nice detail. On the right is the finished bake, where the pixelations shows. Here is the node setup: Could someone explain what is going on during this baking process that transforms the bake into this pixelation and what is the correct way to fix this? Also, I'm using a cube for this example since it's easy to unwrap but my goal is to texture clothing items so the unwrap is sometimes not as neat as this. Thank you all for your help and advice.

Hello , thanks for taking the time to read me. I am a creator, I buy mesh full perm clothes and work on them and I am planning to make tattoos again. Now as a creator, the BakesOnMesh how will affect mesh clothing? Do I need to do something or is it only for tattoos and skins? If it affects mesh clothing then do we apply to them a script or something? Last one, for making tattoos what do I need to do so my tattoos will be compatible with the BakesOnMesh (do I add something? How will it work?)?

Hello everybody! I'm a Maya beginner, and I have some questions for you: What renderer for Maya most of Second Life creators prefer using for texture baking: Mental Ray or V-Ray? What kind of lighting in Maya Second Life creators using to achive results like this: I mean, less shadows, dark spots inside and outside. Is it may special HDRI map? What do you guys think? Thank you!

Hello! when baking textures in a blender, *blocky* jaggedness appears, how to remove it? texture resolution 2048x2048. I use blender render, selected to active normals/ao baking method, and these are my settings: I even tried 4096x4096 and changed the interpolation option on the Image node from "Linear" to "Smart" but it didnt helped.

The title says it all. I always get blurry textures even when I bake it on a larger image, soon as I downsize it to 1024 or 512 depending on size of the object I get a blurry result. Sometimes it messes up the image What should I do?

HELLO! I'm trying to create an exploding barrel and now I made such a mesh. But I have a problem with baking AO shadows texture. On the sides of the barrel where the ribs are visible strips. This is despite the fact that the cylinder 24 VERTS, the SMOOTH is switched on. I can of course make a blur in the photo editor, but how can I make the blur in the settings of baking? Is this possible? Please advise. Thank you so much!

What is the best amount of samples in Cycles?
IIianII posted a topic in Building and Texturing Forum
Just a simple and easy question about the amount of samples for 512x512 image size. I have been struggling getting the right quality textures, if I can know the right amount of samples that way I would only do minimal work on PS afterwards. Thanks in advance! I have the default 200 = samples 32 = preview -
Let's say you have an object like a bottle above. It has 2 layers (as thickness) and a face in the middle for the liquid. The common model which most of creators use for their transparent bottles with liquid inside. I just wonder which way do you prefer to bake textures of such mesh. Because when you use glass node, each face affects eachother....like outer glass layer bakes what is behind it too.
