Phoenix, you do know that OpenSim and Linden Lab are related only through the use of a common viewer, right? Linden Lab is a company, OpenSim is an opensource platform developed by completely different developers. Linden Lab won't and cannot have a discussion with you about OpenSim because it is not their platform, any more than the OpenSim developers can have a discussion with you about Second Life, because it's not their platform. Your only restrictions to making your business based on an opensource platform are the same restrictions faced by all of us: Namely that OpenSim is open source and you are very dependent on the developers to implement changes to the code base unless you do as we did, and hire developers to make the changes you want to see.
