Group Owner cannot Eject, Create, or Send Notices

there is 65 members and the group is 2 years old , the support ticket was sent in and the reply was because it was a free membership they could not help with this issue.

Can anyone tell me if they have experienced losing control in their groups that they created? If so how did you fix it ? Group Owner cannot create or send notices in group? Please help
