  2. No. This would be required to be set server side, like account restrictions. Ontop of that, it is kind of useless anyway as there is no confirmation process during the email change :matte-motes-confused: Edit Don`t bother asking as they can`t be botherd implementing needed security features...

I know it is not needed any more but I still wear it. Fond memories. I`ll throw in my Conover's SuperSmooth Flight-Helper 3.0a from april 3rd 2007 as I never liked wearing feathers ...and I still have Teddy from the old forum cartel

  6. Same as normal rentals, instead of limited parcels, you could do it with an entire sim. Have the default house setup on a pre defined parcel for each level so you have a private stream, but be able to build on the entire "level". Rent 2 "levels" and have 2000 prims to use, etc...
  7. Treasure Ballinger wrote: I asked Inworldz forum. I immediately received a response from Admin there, that it is NOT allowed, and if it's being done, it's done by a 3rd party and that they have nothing to do with it, per the terms of their TOS.. Glad I asked. ETA: I might add, that's one of the things I like about Inworldz. If I'd asked that question of LL, in a forum thread,I doubt if I'd expect a reply at all, let alone within minutes.......responsiveness from admin is a very attractive trait.

  9. Zhenpo wrote: I'll give firestorm a try and let you know, and I like I said I don't know much about SL but 10 a month is cheap so I figured Id give it a shot. FYI, it`s free. All you get for $10 is a simple house you have to sign up for or 512sqm tier free land (you will still have to buy the land) and slightly better support...

  11. Do you have payment on file? I don`t know for sure, but if memory serves me right, the limits start after making your first linden purchase, even if it`s for only $1 (feel free to correct me) Otherwise I would file a ticket for a trading limit review and ask it to be set to "resident level 1" (just follow my link)

THEY HAVE A WHOLE SIM WITH THE HEADQUARTERS DO LINK AVIS AND ALL THAT CONNECTION STUFF AND THE ATM´S AND IF IT IS THERE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE THEN THEY HAVE PERMISSION FOR IT I can't speak for Alicia, only myself. I could be wrong. Based on my understanding of the TOS and TPE's it sounds like a violation to me. But LL is the final decision maker on this. Violet Woller wrote: AND IF IT IS THERE FOR EVERYONE TO SEE THEN THEY HAVE PERMISSION FOR IT Those are what we call "final last words." It is the equivalent of saying, "If everyone is doing it, then it must be OK." Me personally, I don't care and I don't consider playing Cop on the Grid part of my SL Life. I'm mostly very surprised to learn of this. Why the TPE`s changed their terminals to return deposited funds immediately, LL banned the exchange and under that also falls exchanging it for other fake currency instead of USD. That exchange sure will thank you for clarifying that they are allowed to do this for us dummies, maybe you will get a bonus if they remain open as they will be the only ones with permission to keep operating as an exchange.
  13. Violet Woller wrote: this morning i sent to my Inworldz account thru SL /IW connection center 300 L thats bout 700 Iz´s so it is working fine Better cash out everything now that you posted information that you used it and what amount for easy tracking heh
  14. Inworldz, your content and account are 100 times more secure in SL, good luck with the god mode rampage drama queen violet, one day you will see that they will ban you for farting the wrong way with no excuse. Using a TPE is *not* linking accounts between different worlds and as said, if LL find out some one is doing it since the new rules, they will be closed faster then you can recover your funds and the thread linked in here was dated back to 2010...
  15. Toysoldier Thor wrote: *snip* Thankfully you can write alot better then I can, but this is exactly the point I was also trying to point out that applying it to all content can`t be legal but could be applied to all new content after the ToS came in effect
  16. Every one can cashout. The account limited is from your first transaction and is raised every month to a point of "commen use" as a normal merchant $5000/$2500. I think that when you hit that limit after a couple of weeks as a merchant you automatically get increased to the busines level and beyond: https://secondlife.com/my/lindex/describe-limits.php After 6.5 I`m still at the level 1 "new resident" level of $5000/$2500 so don`t worry if it sounds abit nubbish If you ever manage to hit that level and it doesn`t increase, there is always an option to ask for a trading limit review to have it increased manually.
  17. RiftRaven wrote: Dillon Levenque wrote: Thank you. The idea that anyone, or any one group of like-minded people, can 'sway the masses' in Second Life is ludicrous. I noticed when I last logged in that more than 49,500 other people were online. Of those, I'd guess some number that would fall way below the number after the comma cares about (or even knows the meaning of) the new TOS. I do not mean to say this TOS change doesn't matter to those who use SL as a both a creation platform and a source of income. To those people it matters, and might matter a great deal. I don't know the answers to all of this and I won't until it's all been shaken out and explained to me in words of no more than four syllables. I do mean to say I appreciate you pointing out the idiocy of RiftRaven's statement about 'the masses'. You mean the kind of idiocy where everyone carelessly clicks a Draconian Terms Of Service, agreement box, without carefully reading it, and then ONLY when a supplier of 3rd party Textures reads it for them, everyone starts to worry? Right. That kind of idiocy. @Madelaine McMasters Yes it is! :smileyhappy: Because most of us can`t read that pile of crap and don`t understand lawyer language untill some one rips it all apart into manageable pieces I`m dutch and can understand quite abit, but put a ToS size pile of text infront of my eyes and my brain simply craps out. Funny that this thread came alive and the one in the merchant suddently died lol
  18. Judging by the texture/prim quality, I don`t think both look right
  19. It`s not the fear of child avatars, it`s the fear of idiots on a sensitive subject and LL`s stupid punishment wich could affect the sim owner even if it`s not their fault (if they act at all).
  20. Rewind... what do we know? The remark that "our" content is worthless for game designers untill we take the next step with materials, but something else just hit me. 9 years SL content creation. LL starts to develope new games on the SL engine. LL buys Desura. LL wants to build more games with less developers, on the SL engine and maybe offer updates/dlc for the previous games. So the simplest question ran over the lightbulb: why create content for a used engine when the content for that engine is already mostly made? They can mix/match the best content on the grid for their next project and their needs. Want prefabs? pick your choice. Want furniture?"we have thousands of them. Want clothing? don`t even bother to count. Attractive shape with skin without the need to tinker with it? pick a store and raid it. Maybe, just maybe, this isn`t about reselling the content or worse, sell SL, but simply an excuse to skip dev time in creating content for their other games. Even if it`s for this reason, I still find it an underhand tactic that can`t be legal...
  21. Maybe the name was omitted because they sent the most expensive house you have instead of the one they bought, atleast their arse is coverd now Serious note, I wouldn`t even have a clue where to start guessing for a cause besides the unscheduled maintenance of the billing software "Process Credit systems" that messed up something else (as commen as that happens here...) http://status.secondlifegrid.net/2013/10/03/post2074/
  22. This was a good loller, her with that brittish accent, can`t think of anyone else that might have done it better lol
  23. Awsome Gaia! Even Blender gets the SL rename :matte-motes-silly: Thanks for the link Toy
  24. Just remember then not every one who is nice is nice while actively trying to find new friends in world at random locations If you have a handbag, put a brick in it just to be safe
