Wow thanks for all the help and advice! I do think this will help me out alot thank you very much!

I am new to second life and I am trying to get the hang of it.  I know that you can buy lidden dollars but I am having trouble doing so.  Every time I try it would say I cannot exchange currency.  Error in trying to buy.  And I have no idea on how to get in world and explore.  I try the map but Starfox said cannot open.  Any ideas or suggetions to help me out?  Or do I have to cancel my account and try again?  If so how do I do that?
