Welcome to Second Life Kim, Second Life moving forward with your talent is an excellent move. YAY!!!
Couple of suggestions:
Explore and get to know your customer base in-world, talk to people. I really dislike the use of resident, I am a paying customer. Understand this world clearly, as most will tell you it is not a game. We are very real people with a wide range of social and educational backgrounds.
Hot issues:
Teens entering Second life, I have been in-world almost a few years and have enjoyed the fact that I am interacting with adults, call me names, but I do not wish to interact with children. Yes, they are children until they reach the age of majority. Your paying customer's in general are concerned for good reason.
Live support chat: reducing the hours has left out the European community, and frankly, if I were in Europe, I would cancel my Premium Membership immediately.
Tier fees are far too high in the current rl world economy. Get the in-world land sales going. Vacant and abandoned pieces everywhere.
Welcome again Kim!!!!
