Going to necromance this because this just doesn't work, period. "Assign member's to assigner's role" should allow an officer with this power to assign others to any role that officer has, from what you are saying. I have been given powers in the group for this plus a tick for every role except true owner, but still I have to give them an "everyone" tag and then go in later and give them the tick they need such as dj or host. This is just dumb and makes for extra work.

I realize this post is old but the same old problem exists and it seems like nobody is doing anything about it. I'm only here because my friend tried it, I have no idea what her os, video card, computer or anything else is, all I know is it works on hers it doesn't work on mine, I have a wired connection and get 30 to 50 mbps download 2 mbps upload on www.speedtest.net/‎ to all three recommended servers. I did read something about an incompatiblity with amd video cards so what is the thinking here? Hope everyone gets tired of amd and switches to nVidia? No. Just uninstall it, go get firestorm and use it because this will not work. While you are at it, check out where the third party viewers stand in relation to this and the official viewer stability wise, wonder why everyone uses firestorm? Yeah, oh and if you still aren't convinced, if you happen to try to look for support, you will find the one for catznip is blank.

I haven't read each and every post but you are wrong when you say LL want's you naked and I have proof. When we had an issue with the sim last year one of the techs from LL showed up as a skelton so they don't want you naked unless you can lose the skin, muscles and whatever else you have in there too! I make no bones about this at all.

Today I had a shoutcast board returned by the sim owner. We had a region restart shortly after and when I tried to put the board back it said something about the position was no longer available in world, and the board promptly disappeared from inventory. I tried to use all the various "fixes" to restore inventory items but I had no luck, I even checked all scripted items on sim and the board or something that might be the board was not listed. I also searched thru inventory with no luck even looking for items made by the creator. I would hate to lose this board as it was expensive and I can't afford a new one atm. Yesterday, my partner had a pose ball disappear from the sim and inventory, this was the original one she had bought to duplicate for items that were to be sold. I tried to issue a ticket but the form provided does not list the problems we are having with stuff not rezzing and disappearing, so I am at a point where I have no idea what to do Edit: well as I can't seem to be able to reply to an answer I guess I will have to edit my post - I already looked at 0, 0, 0, that area is clean, I have build rights on the whole sim so I guess my partner will have to make that call as I don't have a premium account anymore.

This question may be off topic but is for curiousity purposes only, I was wondering if the Lindens are related to the von Lindens in Europe.

yes this problem started at our sim too after the last rolling restart. I also had problems with my items and if it wasnt anything important I made it temporary and then it poofed a minute later.

This is starting to happen with increased frequency and is getting very annoying. A dj or host will put out a tip jar, at the end of their shift whne they go to pick it up, it won't allow them to get it, they just keep getting copy after copy, or else it just sits there. So i come along and as I have the rights to do this I will click return and nothing happens. Then I will open the about land menu and click on objects, find it in the drop down menu and return it that way. The item poofs from the list but it is still there in front of me, we have issued tickets for this but its starting to happen more and more and its very annoying. Any thoughts on how to prevent or rectify this problem?

omg, i cant believe how simple the fix was, I was made an "owner" of this group but I am not really a full owner, only an owner by name so I can be kicked (ouch) by the true owner if I dont behave. Fair enuff, and I was also made "event host" so that I could post events. I am full owner of the staff group so there i have all my ticks and as our staff room has been deeded to my group, it sees this as my land and therefore I am allowed to host events there. I went through all the ticks that the event host should went, comparing it to the ticks I had in the other group that I own and guess what, I was never given the right to host events on the main group land, I gave myself the tick and now it shows up as a landing point for our events, amazing what one little tick mark can or cannot do. Thanks to Claran Laval and some addition help from Wolf Mactavish for pointing me towards the solution and thanks to everyone else for trying to help too

The landing point is set at 159,61, this would be perfect for our events but right now the only LM available when we create an event is set at 232.162. Telepoint routing is set at "landing point" and we pay for our parcel to show in search.

When posting an event we would like the LM to be right in the middle of the sim but instead it points to an area that is not appropriate. We have reset and changed the landing point numerous times but on the event page it continues to point to that one spot, how can we change the LM? I have asked this before and have gotten the usual generic answers but I am hoping for something a bit more helpful this time. I know for a fact, that there are other clubs who are not listed as hang outs and their landing point is on or near the middle. SO if they can do it how do we do it?
