What is the etiquette surrounding this?

IMO, you should not edit/delete already posted script examples.

You should post an additional script example below it/them and include either a revision number, iteration number and/or date & time of your example.

Another thing you should refrain from is mentioning that your example is "better" or "supersedes" an already existing example, but you can mention how a certain method/function/scope is faster.

    Just, my two pennies.

Maybe it will compete with Reborn. Maybe it will compete with Lara X.

OK, finally managed to see someone wearing the body.

It definitely is more like Reborn as it has the same proportions in the thighs, pelvis, waist and chest (if you were wearing Waifu boobs).

And it is no-mod as predicted.

It's all RP anyway so how in-depth you want to get is entirely up to you.Β Β

All the way up to dealing with a pregnant teenage daughter or incarcerated teenage son? πŸ€”

OK, maybe that was too much.

I'll stick to dealing with them wrecking the family car or being suspended from school. πŸ˜†

  4. Legacy has a few test users floating around wearing a new "Pinup x Bombshell" body which was uploaded Feb 18, 2024.

IDK what kind of shape it has, though.

Maybe it will compete with Reborn. Maybe it will compete with Lara X.

One thing that is almost guaranteed, though, is that it will be released as no-mod. πŸ˜†

Legacy mesh body requires everyone leave media on, so all they have to do is play some media in the sandbox (or a public place) to get your ip adress if you wear legacy.Β

If you got my IP, it would point to a town 30 minutes away from me.

Wifi triangulation is usually how they can pinpoint down to the nearest meter.

Noticed really annoying (but consistent) behavior I never knew about.

If the last line of a notecard contains text but no newline, trying to read that line will return EOF instead of the text.

This happens with Sync/Async and applies even to notecards that only contain one line of text, but no newline. The line cannot be read because the result is EOF. I'm sure someone has to have filed a jira about it, but what's the current status?

That is a bug specific to Gingerbread server versions. I'll file it on the crappy canny system and bring it up tomorrow at the server UG. Thanks.

Sadly, this will most likely push access on agni back a week. 😐

You can rename your own body, so if someone scans your avatar, it could say "Tazzie Tuque's Mesh Body" instead of Belleza GenX. So it wouldn't get picked up by bots. But it won't affect the vendor of the original body, so you wouldn't have any trouble finding it if you wanted one.

This is why checking both root and child links while referencing a database of known mesh creation times helps. They are essentially UUIDs for mesh. πŸ˜‰

If you could make it physical, you could use llPushObject() on it on land that doesn't have push disabled (I do not recommend doing so, but AFAIK it's the only method of affecting an object via script without the script being in that object) . I don't think you can make non-physical no-mod objects physical, but it's not impossible that llRezObjectWithParams allows setting that flag on no-mod objects (if it does, I'd consider that a bug to be honest.)

    llRezObjectWithParams() can modify no-mod objects.

The concern was brought up day1 and the discussion that followed suggested LL was trying to associate more prim params as "common rez params".

  9. Does the navmesh view show ground at the height of impact?

There is a bug where bake issues cause invisible ground height "spikes" that only affect physical objects and not agents.

Collisions with these result in NULL_KEY with collision scripts.

It allegedly takes a region restart to fix.
