So what's up with this obsession with realistic avatars?
Jesica Dragovar replied to honerken's topic in Your Avatar
I've been needing re-sized shoes for some projects and I've been buying full perm shoes and sizing them as needed. You might need to texture them as well and sometimest the whole thing comes in sculpt textures only so you have to do a bit of work to get a full shoe. It's expensive but there aren't many alternatives. You could also take a look at all the free shoes on the freebie avatars in your library. Those are full perm too. I took out the invisiprims on one of them and it works great. -
well we got the april showers part

Alpha Layer "Stacking"?
Jesica Dragovar replied to Laura Demme's topic in Building and Texturing Forum
as far as I know the way to go about that is mesh and/or sculp or prim based clothing, layer based clothing will be made invisible -
call me cynical but considering the link and the fact that it's the ONLY post that person has made, I'm calling spam
-
I can wear multiple alpha layers just fine with no problems, using Viewer 3.3

yeah it's still a week away but happy easter

they're very well done machinema television networks for SL, but I do have one gripe with them why is it all talk shows? seriously that's about 90% of the content, I'd love to see some sitcoms or scripted dramas set and fimled in SL

back in the OLDEN days SL had it's own recoder like the snapshot button, but that's long gone, your best bet is to get one of those programs that records your screen

About Dj-ing in SL
Jesica Dragovar replied to MeaveIrisClioDelafaye's topic in Art, Music and Photography
out of sheer curiostiy, I have a turntable app on my ipad, if I were to want to use that as my DJ equipment, hooking the line out (headphone port) of my ipad into the line in (microphone port) of my computer how would I go about streaming that on SL? -

How closely do you resemble your avatar?
Jesica Dragovar replied to UsernamexPi's topic in General Discussion Forum
my avatar is more or less a very stylized version of RL me, only major change is eye colour (purple eyes in SL green in RL) -

Randall Ahren wrote: I try to be better than I am. In all the ways that I wish I could be, that's me in SL. I look like the way I want to look, I am smart, capable, and most importantly, I am free in all the ways that I am not in RL. In SL, women pay attention to me, even women who aren't on medication. yeah that's one of the great things about SL, you can be what you want to be and I can be what I want to be

Randall Ahren wrote: It is good. You should do something similar to that for your usual appearance in SL. . nah, I like my regular avatar, it's based more or less on how I look in RL, don't really want anything like the white picture for my day to day SL cause that would make it less fantastic

SL 'art', show off your edited snapshots
Jesica Dragovar replied to Jo Yardley's topic in Art, Music and Photography
here's an edited snapshot made to look like a painting and here is an actual painting I made based off a photo I took in SL (here's the original) -

One simple rule that can save Second Life:
Jesica Dragovar replied to Josh Susanto's topic in Merchants
as crude and as crass as it is, I think LL's response to Josh's threat to leave Second Life and go to IMVU can be summed up best as this -

And, you know, the thing about a Bloodlines vamp.. he's got lifeless eyes. Black eyes. Like a doll's eyes. When he comes at ya, doesn't seem to be living... until he bites ya, and those black eyes roll over white and then... ah then you hear that terrible high-pitched screamin'.
