  1. That's my guess as well, considering there's little consistency between all the different reports in terms of environment, just the effect. I've stayed logged in in the same region all day now but when I walked into a different parcel, the land info shows me as still being in the previous one. ...and as I'm typing this, I finally get disconnected.
  2. Yeah it just keeps hanging up on region handshake. The one time I managed to log in, the connection died almost immediately and I was logged out.
  3. The thing is, they don't even need to do anything themselves. A moderately skilled scripter could easily write an online tracker that will automatically send the person money when they log in. For all we know you're getting your panties in a twist while the person in question doesn't even have to think about you, except for when they lose couple of lindens every day.
  4. For some reason when I try to install the version 7.0.0.x, it just immediately downloads an "update" and installs the standard release client instead! I've tried to change the update settings but apparently it just considers it a mandatory update and won't let me as far as the login screen. I've tried cancelling the update installation but it just does it again when I try to start up the client.

  7. Well, again, I'm trying to avoid using anything that requires rezzing or someone else attaching anything at all.
  8. Is there any way to make particles move from the target directly to the emitter, instead of the other way around? I'm trying to script something that would make particles appear to come from another avatar and move towards an attachment I'm wearing, but short of making everyone else wear the emitters, there doesn't seem to be a non-janky way of doing it. Right now I'm just having the emitter float a distance away from me and I'm thinking about using raycasting to determine avatar distance and then move the emitter away from the root prim that distance, but even then I have to attach the thing to an eyeball to even get an approximately correct direction, and even then the angle is limited by the range of the eyeball bone rotations. Is there any way to do it or do I have to file a jira to request a new function for this?

As you know, objects on land are included in region snapshots, and some users (including myself) have taken advantage of this to create cool graphics to make their land look a bit more interesting when viewed on the map. However, does anyone actually know the maximum altitude an object can be at and still be included in said snapshot? I've rezzed mine at between 300 and 400 meters but I was wondering if anyone's actually tested this to figure out the exact ceiling and if it can be even higher than that. I also wonder if it's affected by the altitude of the actual land itself?

Conversely, people upset about the ban are either -creators who themselves got addicted to nickle and diming their customers to death, learning all the wrong lessons from EA, sucking the fun out of SL shopping the same way they sucked every last penny out of their clients -resellers who can no longer flip rares for thousands of lindens every month -creators selling their own rares for thousands of lindens under alts while making said rare nigh impossible if not actually impossible to get from an actual machine.
  11. Here's a wild idea, how about just selling your stuff normally instead of trying to nickle and dime your customers to death!?
  12. 100% this I'd gladly pay the extra to get a copy version of some of the stuff, especially when it's meant to be rezzed rather than worn so you can't just make a dozen shortcuts for every instance you want to use it in.
