  1. You didn't read the Florida age of consent very carefully. Age of consent in Florida is 18, but a 16 and 17 year old are allowed to have sexual activity with an adult up to the age of 24. Which, technically speaking, makes the age of consent 16 in Florida.
  2. http://www.law.cornell.edu/uscode/18/875.html That is the law to which you are refering. I don't think anyone in sl is or has kidnapped, ransomed, or solicited monies for ransom or threathened bodily harm, do you? Keep in mind that magazines such as Playboy, Playgirl, Hustler, and others, pass thru the U.S. Postal system from one state to another and are delivered to homes everyday of the week that have minor children residing inside. These magazines are protected by the Fourth Amendment to our Constitution called Freedom of Speech. So far this Amendment has protected many things on the Web that are far worse then 16 and 17 year olds coming to SL and seeing cartoon characters having sex.
  3. The legal age of sexual consent in most of North America is 16. With the exception of a few states where the age consent is younger. This pretty much covers Linden Labs of liability as well as the rest of us who wish to bath nude in our hottubs. I didn't think Linden Labs would allow the 16 to 17 year olds into the main grid without researching a few laws along the way, or at least making sure it's adult residents were covered as well. For anyone who is interested in finding out the LEGAL AGE OF SEXUAL CONSENT for their state or country here is a web address http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ages_of_consent_in_North_America#Florida. It not only tells you about the law but gives you the penal code of your state to look it up. Research of facts is always best before shooting off one's mouth.
