  1. Thanks, I have the .obj files, but I need a male avatar file with the skeleton for rigging weighted mesh. They are not on that page.
  2. Hello everyone! I have been using the avatar.blend file in Blender provided by Domino through the Machinimatrix site to rig my female mesh clothing. I have just made a male mesh clothing outfit. It won't quite fit properly on the Ruth model in the avatar.blend file. Is there a male equivalent for this file with the skeleton included available anywhere? Thanks in advance all!
  3. Thanks again Drongle! After repeated tries I was able to finally get in. I went to the corner of Mesh City but did not find my avatar, so perhaps the situation corrected itself when I was able to log in (I had set login location to my home in Sandbox 15). I logged out, and was able then to log back in. I appreciate your help.
  4. Thank you so much Drongle! How do I go about directly emailing a Linden, or can that be done? I suspect if I use a support ticket that it will not be addressed until well after mesh is released to the main grid!
  5. I was able to log an alt into Aditi, but not Vivienne. Any suggestions on how to get help on this?
  6. I have been unable to log into Aditi today. I get the message that the region is currently logging me out. Is anyone else having this problem? I downloaded the latest project viewer and still cannot log in.
  7. Yes, I agree with Aki. About ten minutes before the hour was up, the Lindens present simply stopped speaking and the agenda had not been completed. They did respond to a request asking if the Lindens were dead, one saying "not quite," and when I emoted poking them with a stick, another emoted twitching, so we know that their connection was live and that they were indeed still present. When the hour was up, one by one they said goodbye and left with no explanation. I feel that this was rude. We are customers, some of us investing a large amount of real money each month into SL (I own two private island estates). We have invested a lot of our time to learn to create mesh and to test mesh on the beta grid. If the issue was people straying from the agenda or whatever, it should have been dealt with. A simple "Let's get back to the agenda and we will answer other questions after if there is time" would have sufficed. We are not a rude or particularly difficult group to deal with. We deserved more courtesy than that. I won't ask for an apology. I would just like for there to be no similar repeat performance in the future. I do feel we are getting closer to mesh release. At the beginning of the meeting, they said that their priority now is merging mesh code with the code of the main viewer and testing for bugs and conflicts in that process. That to me sounds promising.
  8. Hurray! Thank you LL! I look forward to jumping in and starting the learning and experimenting. I think the open beta will do much to alleviate much of the anxiety around the coming of mesh. There will be bumps, rough spots, and occasional frustration to be sure, but if there is one thing we SL residents are good at, it is helping each other.
  9. I am glad to hear it. With mesh coming to Second Life, it is a good thing that young teens will have a reason to learn 3D modeling and a reason to experiment with it. Second Life could spark an interest or passion in a talented young person that could lead to a very real and rewarding career in 3D Graphics down the road. If a young person learns to script, it could lead to an interest in programming. Anything that sparks the creativity of young people is a good thing in my opinion.
