  1. Hi Cassie! Yes, you will be able to get the new linden home. Of course, it is first come first serve and they are going out quickly, but don't give up. They try to release them everyday or every other day depending on how much they've completed. Just don't give up. Keep checking to see if it is available. 😃
  2. Yes there are. Depend on the new Linden Homes you have there is a way for you to get it. If you have the regular house, just click on the mailbox and choose LH- Content Creations Pack. Just open the box and all of the textures will be in it. Houseboat:
  3. This was me when I got my houseboat.
  4. Second Life Staff work hard and try to listen to the community. After hearing positive feedback about the cabin they want to give it a go. It's not easy to please everyone, but they do take feedback from the community so they can learn and improve the quality on Second Life. Just be patient with the new homes, they want to make sure that the homes won't have problems when the residents claim them. The Lindens and Moles are working non-stop to make sure the homes are ready to be release. I know it can be annoying to wait for them and then it gets taken quickly. Just keep checking the Linden Homes page to see if any new homes are available. As for deleting negative comments that's not true. As long as you aren't violating the community forums then your post will stay up.
  5. I was wondering where @Patch Linden placed the stone. I couldn't find it, but now I see. It's underwater. After the house is nicely decorated I will hold a memorial service.
  6. Before you release them to contact the Ghostbusters team to make sure no ghosts are hiding in the homes.😉
  7. I guess you didn't know about California Civil Code § 1102, where you are required to disclose information about the property. 😋 I hope this ghost is friendly.
  8. I'm super excited about my houseboat. As soon as it's done, I will post pictures We have a visitor staying and I informed he/she that if you plan on staying you must pay rent. After all, since Premiums are going up, might as well help and foot the bill. Quick question, after we get the linden home aren't we suppose to get an email about the new home?
  9. Just got houseboat! However, I have unexpected visitor on my land.
  10. Can you still buy the premium before the 24th for the low-cost rate of the 72 dollars a year? Like, if I want to buy it on the 10th will it be available?
  11. i don't think they were trying to do it on purpose, i think they were trying to help to improve on revenue costs. I do think that there needs to be more community input. Holding monthly events with LL staff around talking to the people and hearing their voices. I understand they can't do everything that the community wants, it will show they are interacting more with the community.
  12. That's a shame because it can help with there subscriptions and help to boost their revenue.
  13. I just want to take the opportunity to thank Linden Lab staff for listening and hearing our concerns and issues about the recent updates. For me being part of different virtual worlds, I have seen them come and go. About 9 years ago, a virtual world that I love closed down due to financial issues. It came back 2 years later, however; it's still not the same. Here on Second Life, the world continues to grow even through the hard times. I'm happy to see that Linden Labs staff are listening to the community and taking on our inputs. It's important that both the company and community to continue to communicate with each other for it to succeed. There are many great ideas on how to help and improve Second Life. I've seen a lot of helpful ideas to improve on the Second Life Premium Membership Packages. I love the tier level idea. Having Basic, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Platinum packages. Each one can have it a set price, and different types of packages it will receive. Thank you again for hearing us
  14. Thank you for keeping the groups the way they are for non-premium members. I understand you want to keep groups on the best performance as possible. Hopefully, the overloading issues can be fixed in time with limited disruptions. My recommendations to have if you plan on increasing any limit before it's done make sure it goes through some testing before it's released to the public this way there won't be any concerns about it and won't need to take back what is given to all. Thank you again.
  15. Hi Kat, I understand what you mean. However, I'm still confused about the original statement that was made. If the groups were overloading, why increase the limit in the first place? If they are causing such a lag, then why implement an increase? Yes, most have alts so people could use there alts to join groups, however; sometimes if you join a group that has updates in regards to clothing, or land you won't be able to see it unless you log in. Also, some use alts for storage purposes. I think if it's that much of a big problem, then maybe it isn't best to increase the groups until they are fully fixed.
  16. @Grumpity Linden When this was decided, was there any voice input from the community? I understand that Linden Labs needs to make a profit in order to keep Second Life and any other projects running.
  17. Your bank may not have a fee, but VISA/MASTERCARD/DISCOVER/AMEX all have a transaction fee.
  18. If that's the case why not have the fees handle by PayPal or Stripe? This way they won't have to handle any of the processing fees. Most companies are going through third parties and have them handle all of the transactions. Both PayPal and Stripe have a 2.9 percent + 30 cents charge.
  19. This is my first time writing in the forums in here so bear with me. lol. I get the reasons why the increase needs to happen. Running a virtual world isn't cheap and can be very costly. Being part of a virtual world that closed down and recently opened, I know it can be a struggle to make some profit to keep it going. I do have a few suggestions that could benefit from both Premiums and Non-Premium members. For Premium Members Groups: Increase to 70. Weekly lindens increase from 300 to 500L. If you pay a yearly fee you receive a bonus of 2,000 lindens. That will be given after 30 days. If you pay a quarterly fee, you get your bonus of 1,000 lindens. That will be given after 30 days. Transaction Fee: Keep at 2.5 percent or increase it to 3 percent. ----------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Non - Premiums: Groups: Keep it at 42. Transaction Fee: Increases to 5 percent. Offline Messages can decrease to 15. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------- The new homes are beautiful, reducing the tier costs are great. However; I feel that the perks of having premium haven't really changed much. Maybe these ideas might help to boost subscription and also, to keep non-premium members happy. I do have a question though about the groups. If they are overloading the group functionality then why increase them, to begin with? Wouldn't it make more sense to keep them low until you find a way to not to overload them?
