  1. Also, a good tip and one I usually use for my housing setups - which also easily cross the 1k line - is to combine stuff into bigger linksets as much as possible and then link them to a root prim at the same coords of my house. The less little single objects you have around, the less likely you are missing something during the selection, or something gets lost or moved during the rezzing.

So for instance with my main house, a big manor, I will combine all lamps into a linkset, then rez a tiny prim at the base core center coordinate (and same rotation) of my house, name it "Linkset - Lamps" or whatever, and link ALL my lamps to it. Then the same with all blinds, then the same with all flowers, and so on.

By linking them to a root prim stationed at the core coordinates of your house, you can easily pick up those linksets before packing everything in - so you are not actually rezzing back out a 1000 prim build but maybe only a 500 prim build now. Then just rez all the linksets and copy/paste their coords to the coords of your house again. Takes 1 minute and saves all the troubles of rezzing a big structure.

Also, what else I then usually do is: I store those picked-up linksets in the inventory of my house before picking that one up. So I always know where those linksets are, when I rez them back out.

Still a work in progress but its starting to look decent enough!

Oh me god! Okay you NEED to let me live with you! This is frigging gorgeous! If I wasn't so much in love with my own cute home, I would flat out kidnap then blackmail and extort you to let me live with you, hah! Actually, wait, not a bad idea... let me find my old balaclava somewhere. Brb!

I'm in love with your bedroom!

You're not the only one, darling! *giggles*

No seriously, though. I am, as well! Although, in fact, it looks a bit different now. Before I packed everything up last fall, I changed the surrounding land. Along with that, I moved the tiny master bathroom behind that TV to another room and turned that bathroom into a walkable closet. At the same time, I got rid of the ugly shelf-closet on the left and instead there is now a giant top-to-bottom glass facade overlooking the lawn and pool.

I have just somewhat returned to SL, and I'm considering placing down my home again (a little earlier than usual). If I do, I'll take an updated snapshot. 🙂

  4. Et voilà, my main home in a Tuscany (Italy) setting during summer! I guess it doesn't 100% qualify for this thread here, as it is not currently rezzed - I only move there from early summer until late fall. But it is my main home that I have had every summer for years, so I felt like just sharing it anyway.

If you would like to see the full album with more (and larger) images of the property, check my flickr album out: https://www.flickr.com/photos/michaelblackwood/albums/72177720300676943

Okay, that shows Akamai at work.  This will often clear in a few hours but you can also file a support ticket, including that information, and things may improve more quickly.

I'm not even sure what all that means, to be honest. So it is a LL side problem and will "just go away" somewhere in the next hours without anything wrong or anything I can do on my end? Is that what you're saying?

  6. I hate having to throw out a thread for this issue here but I am beginning to go nuts. I tried so many things by now, I don't know what else to try to solve the following issue:

    image.thumb.png.0ef0ade41b0032036166e61d5e9a0454.png

No clue where this is coming from. My PC runs 24/7. Went to bed this morning after a long night on SL, closed the viewer, woke up 4hrs ago, turned on my monitor, fired Fierstorm up and: Baaaam! IN your face!

I honestly tried everything I could think of, including (but not limited to) checking my router, reconnecting internet, disabling windows firewalls, trying to log in on SL services through their website (works), trying multiple viewers, sims, accounts and what not. Amazon Servers show stable, LL servers / status shows all green, my internet works like a charm - I DO NOT KNOW WHAT THE F* THIS IS!

Please help me save my sanity! 🥴🤓

I am renting out my furnished personal skybox home to anyone!
A little earlier than usual I have moved to my Alaskan offgrid cabin from where I am preparing this year's winter quarters
    in Montana.
Normally I switch lands & sims, but I have fallen in love with the latest renovations at my summer residence so much, I want to keep it - just not use it.

For just 2000L$/Week with 400 (!) extra prims it can all be yours!

     SOME PERKS
≫ The Skybox sits on a huge 4096sqm (64x64) land with plenty of grass around the house for you to rez or relax on.
The house has a master bedroom with an attached walk-in closet (!), an empty extra room / bedroom, a bathroom, a kitchen & dining area and the common area.
The entire setup is decorated with a consistent theme that resembles a wonderful modern Bungalow in the middle of the RL region of Tuscany in Italy.
It features a custom made environment
to make it almost not feel like a skybox! On top of that, the plot has some wonderful ambient sound orbs for a totally immersive experience.
≫ One amazing core perk is the beautiful custom EEP (ex windlight) Day Cycle. It has a detailed real life 24hr pattern set to the timezone of Italy!
≫ Every room and the outdoor areas are wired with functional lights that can be turned on/off through wall switches like in RL.
Furthermore most other things can be operated, as well - such as all blinds or the big awning above the terrace.

The bungalow is covered with exclusive paintings from RL artists in SL from my own collection!
The outdoor area features a big Pool, a jacuzzi, a (TIS) Dance System with plenty of solo and couple dances, a hammock, a romantic dining table setup,
Backbone deck chairs, a Backbone BBQ station, a wooden Pavillion with a cozy seating area and a firepit - and so much more!
Most of the furniture throughout the place is PG & Adult! The master bedroom's bed is brand new and supports the INM System,
V-*****, P-***** and Lovense on top of being bento animated!

≫ Multiple high-end AVEN TV's can play local media radio, Twitch streams, Youtube, world news and old movies - even Karaoke and more! There are actual radio stream changers, as well, though.
≫ The entire land is protected by a multi-layered casper security setup per "invitation only". It protects both the home and the little entrance area separately.

Oh I'm in the UK so maybe this makes sense.

Now where you say that and I'm in Germany, so both of us in Europe, maybe it actually does and that is the issue? All my SL friends from outside Europe (have none in Europe) from Australia to US East Coast can log in just fine.

There is some connectivity issues affecting some routing towards US West and US East AWS. PSN is partially broken for some users (online play is fine, some features are not), Xbox Live, DayZ and more.

As usual with such problems it only affects certain routes, so if you're routed through the affected route, then you will have such problem, while others won't. You may check on AWS test page if you get any timeouts to their servers. https://ec2-reachability.amazonaws.com/

I am in Germany.. 😄 But funny enough, I kind of had this exact idea, thinking at this point if it is something region based here in Europe / Germany.

I got kicked out about an hour ago and can't log inworld or to the main webpage.

More or less same here, I swear I'm p* as f* by now.

Froze and was kicked out like 6hrs ago and can't log back in ever since:"Requesting Region Capabilities.....".
Even the secondlife.com login page or any support pages won't load so I can't even create a support ticket...

That's quite ridiculous since SL Grid Status shows EVERYTHING as solved. I've tried using SL viewer instead of FS, reinstalling the viewer, clearing the cache (stupid I know but just in case), logging on to various sims I had confirmed by friends that are online, resetting my internet, restarting my PC, and and and...
Funny enough, all of my SL friends I have in Discord, too can log in and use SL just fine. WTF?

  11. Big news! I finally got around to renovate the skybox and turn the environment behind the old balcony into walkable grass to make use of the entire land size!
It turned out amazing! Check out some updated screenshots on my flickr!

I am also still looking for one roommate! 🙂

I hope it's not another thiccums body. That market is overstuffed, pardon the pun. Something closer to Isis or Venus, with a small bust option like Perky or Petite would be something I'd like to try.

I can only say "Amen" to this comment. I am so so tired of seeing those (then by most users turned unrealistic as hell through a shape) super thicko bodies around the grid. If it was at least well proportioned chubby or bigger bodies - awesome, we need more of that body confidence in SL! But those.. 5 inch waist line 5000 inch butt.. bodies... 🤢

The weekly cost is "comparable" to the alternative of purchasing hardware, setting up OS, bot API which could be difficult for the average Joe.

It is also comparable to the easier, but more costly alternative of using a separate desktop machine, bot API/render based TPV(Radegast still has MASSIVE render based bandwidth consumption that you CANNOT 100% disable even when running in "renderless" mode. The same problem exists in Firestorm's Text mode.) and electricity costs running it 24/7.

There is a comparable risk with both Smartbots and closed source bot programs like Corrade since you are exposing user names and passwords with either service and you cannot see the code and 100% operations involved with either.

You are actually breaking LL's ToS by sharing names and passwords with Smartbots for their service to log your accounts online.

    Thanks for your input!
That's why I wrote, I'm not saying anything against smartbots. I have used it for years and still am and happy with it. Of course it is cheaper than setting everything up manually.
Except that was my point in my topic, which I explained: I now do have everything set up manually anyway. The server is there and running in my home no matter what, for other purposes. So with that in mind, I might as well run my bot(s) without smartbots directly. But I agree, of course, for the average Joe who doesn't have a set up and running server at home, smartbots is way cheaper and less complicated than getting an own server.
