  1. Lord Blackwood standing portrait before the annual Fox Hunt* on at Chatsworth Hall on Blackwood Estate. * Don't worry, no actual foxes were or will ever be harmed.
  2. A bit delayed, the beautiful surprise for my Valentine's Day:
  3. For the first time ever, I have started using AI tools along with my usual photoshopping, to additionally enhance an original SL photo a little bit. The original image, as taken in SL:
  4. My partner and I are looking for two attached homestead sims to rent, with full EM rights. Messaged one or two big landords for support, as well, but felt like it couldn't harm to drop it here, too. IM me if you can offer that. 🙂
  5. In some way I would usually agree with you, I think. Personally, the only time I get pissy and do report any store's product for keyword spam is when I see that they intentionally and obviously used unrelated popular keywords (e.g. from other brands, etc.) to manipulate the search for their product. There is just no way you can tell me that a seller unintentionally sells, say a deco prop DVD prim and then adds keywords for that product with the brand names of popular scripted TV systems. That is so obviously unrelated and leeching off of other's names, that this is clearly intentional, malicious manipulation and pisses me right off.
  6. *sighs* Why do people NEVER read forum rules. This is in so many ways the wrong section. Try the "employment" section instead. This section here is neither for advertising your sim, nor for employment ads of any kind.
  7. Unfortunately, someone I thought I was really close with, f**ed me over recently. You know, the old story. Annoyingly, my SL family and I were going to celebrate Christmas with that person, so I had just bought a 2000L$ gift card from nutmeg as gift. Needless to say, that person isn't getting that gift anymore, lol. Nutmeg "support" didn't respond to my request to return the card a day after purchase, I don't have friends who would shop at nutmeg and I don't anticipate much success trying to resell the card on MP. So I'm hoping, someone here who loves nutmeg is interested in taking over (as in buy off) the 2000L$ gift card from me! I know this is a bit of an odd one in the "Wanted" category, but I didn't really know where else to post it and I'd hate for so much money as a gift card to go to waste - and I don't really shop at nutmeg. If you'd like to take over the gift card, just send me an IM inworld!
  8. Gesh.. to be honest: Even after now right precisely 17 years in SL (yay rezday on the 8th this month!) I can not remember more than one incident like that. And technically that wasn't even a neighbor dispute, but more so an ex partner that was pissed at being "politely let go". She took over plots around my home land on a private sim and placed obnoxious, huge signs all around me for a day. Thankfully the sim owner was kind, and I was on good terms with him, so after informing him he swiftly terminated her, banned her and removed the signs. Also that was many years ago. Other than that I can honestly not remember one single neighbor incident... 😮
  9. Dunno if it's just me but so far, all I am getting out of PBR is terrible f*ed up lighting every other login in the current public release FS version without being able to enjoy the PBR aspects. So personally, can't say I'm thrilled just yet.Now to be fair, I haven't downloaded LL viewer yet and tested PBR where I can actually see it, to be able to judge PBR itself (topic of the thread here). But frankly, as crappy as light looks now in FS with PBR on sims enabled but FS not, I dont even want PBR anymore lol.
  10. After a complicated mathematical calculation, I came to the conclusion: 0.
  11. Agreed and boy, nothing **ses me off more than when merchants do that, demo or not. Especially when they even go further and use photos from the render itself (blender, maya, etc.) and not even inworld, with editing or not, at all. While still easy to spot for the professional eye, I find that nothing short of attempting to fraud. I refuse such merchants and wish LL would do something against that, at least on MP.
  12. All good, got me covered by a lovely animator coming to my rescue! Topic closed! 🔐
  13. Hello, hi, aloha, boo! 😄 I am in dire need of someone capable of making simple bento animations. I suck at blender, don't have avastar anyway, and I forgot completely that qavimator, my tool of choice for years, still does not support bento. I need a simple, non looped animation with animated arm and bento hand. Will discuss further details via IM and compensate of course! Contact me! Do it! 🙂
  14. "Old" topic, that whole ad-o-matic discussion within this different topic, I know. But I am biting my lips for real. Coming from, albeit 15 years ago, a rl marketing & PR background, I am laughing so hard right now. Almost every single text and response of the creator is nothing but shallow, meaningless, classic word-salad marketing talk by the books back when I learned that at college. If you take his texts literal and read them carefully, you'll easily notice that most of the sentences explaining the amazing new product, are completely word nonsense. Like, an "Immersive" or "innovative" new product. Immersive? Literally speaking, how is an ad board immersive? And how is that ridiculous ad board idea in any way innovative? Might stick a different technology with new lsl functions inside it, but at the end of the day, an ad board is an ad board. And many before me have nicely pointed out, why absolutely nobody in SL ever gives 1 dime about an ad board. So not only do I agree with most others here, that the concept is laughable. Not only would I strongly discourage anyone who wants to spend some money on serious marketing for their business, from renting one of these boards. More so, the robot like classic non-saying marketing text replies let me believe, the creator himself doesn't believe one bit in that idea, knows it's bollocks, and thus tries to sell a rotten apple for a golden orange, desperately. I don't know what to think of this. But I do also want to end my statement, for fairness’s sake, with saying that I hold no grudge against the creator himself, despite this new product idea sounding like nonsense. I used smartbots for years very happily and still would, if I hadn't now my own physical little server in my living room, running my own avies as bots 24/7 on my own software.
  15. Can I haz dat PM, as well, pwetty pwease? 😛
  16. Man, that is actually a deep question, haha. And a tough one. Who am I? Hmm... Well, in essence, my virtual journey here can be split into three chapters, reflecting the overall things I used SL for. The only thing that has always remained consistent through all these years, is my strong affinity to be an entrepreneur and do business in SL. Chapter One - "The Business Chapter" The first chapter began in 2006, when I joined Second Life. I was in my early 20s in RL back then, had just finished college as graphic designer and opened my own marketing agency. Since (understandably) my head was all into marketing, business and entrepreneurship at that time, the first thing I did in SL within weeks was to open a little virtual marketing agency there, as well. I set up a simple office at one of the many "malls". I gained clients quickly and this is basically how I made my first money in SL. Don't get me wrong here, SL was at no point "just a business opportunity to make money" for me. I did socialize a lot, too - I especially loved clubbing, since I was in my 20s in RL and went out a lot, as well. Which actually reminds me, that I also frequented a shady, filthy little club called "Spunky BT's" back then, and I remember how the owner made me club "security" after a few days. Boy did I feel cool! Anyway, with the virtual agency being a success, I soon began expanding into other ventures. Eventually I turned apartment rental landlord on mainland (thank you, "Mathuen Lagerlof"✞ for teaching me so much about land in SL!), as well as a furniture designer with a (back then quite popular) brand called "MAKEA". It sold handcrafted prim furniture that loosely resembled RL IKEA pieces. So, yeah, I would say that sums up the first few years of my SL journey quite well - mainly venturing in various businesses and socializing at discos around the grid. Chapter Two - "The Roleplay Chapter" I can't really define or remember when this chapter began. Probably somewhere around 2010 or a bit later. While the business side always remained in my life in SL in one way or another, it definitely shifted at this point. I lost interest and technology advanced, where I could not keep up. Then I discovered the huge Roleplay side of SL. And fell for it deep. From A to Z, on sim, off sim. Roleplay would be my absolute main and almost exclusive time killer in SL for the next 9 or so years. I don't even remember everything I did, but to name some things: Wild West RP at Tombstone for a long time, Victorian RP at a beautiful sim for humans and "tinies", a little bit of combat RP in the WW2 and modern era and.. then the absolute big thing: Urban and Family RP! I discovered, that modern era urban roleplay was exactly the kind of RP I wanted. Be myself as a character but with a career and lifestyle I don't have in RL. For the next years I fully shifted my focus to RP. I lived almost exclusively on urban RP sims, built up a vast career as Cop, later also as Firefighter. Additionally, building a family and finding love matched well with that, so I ended up with family roleplay, too. I also dated a lot - without success in terms of the "love of my virtual life", and I trialed & adopted a bunch of "kids" over the years. To sum this chapter up, the second third of my (so far) SL life was heavily influenced by roleplay in SL. Chapter Three - "The Slow Demise" My last and still ongoing chapter of SL began probably around 2019. I had already noticed more and more, that in many aspects not only SL was shifting in a way I did not like, but also roleplay in general. Especially urban RP was shifting, if not flat out on the verge of dying out. Sims opened and closed in shorter and shorter timespans, fewer sims opened than sims closed. Once bustling urban sims with players openly roleplaying on the streets, car chases, riots, an active community out in the open, turned more and more "dead". Most players rented properties, but barely roleplayed and stayed by themselves, or with their friends, in each other's homes. That was the point when I decided with a heavy heart after over 9 years, to lay my virtual careers to rest forever and retire. This led to this last chapter and my SL as it still is today: The slow and steady forever demise of my virtual life. Due to a lack of enticing alternative things for me to do in SL and (in my personal opinion) growing hostilities & "anti-socialisation" (parallel to the same effect in RL society), I became more and more estranged with SL as a whole. My "hiatuses" became more, the timespans actively spent inworld less. If I was inworld, I often just sat around, not sure what to do. I tried going back to some of the things I liked in the past, such as sailing, flying, golfing, ballroom dancing, etc. But most of the hobbies drew me in only for a short time. Eventually this pulled me closer into the "naughty & adult" side and I discovered the huge world of D/S and BDSM in SL. This then became an increasingly large part of my little remaining SL ever since. I wouldn't say at all that this is what defines me now in SL. But next to sitting around or just occasionally doing one thing or another, this is now certainly my main constant in what is left of my SL, in my third and final chapter.
  17. That is what I now wondered instantly, as well as I was just reading this thread. Would be lovely to finally not be bullied for my old Catwa Daniel head anymore. 😄 What? What can I do! Yus it's old, but I love how I look and I have so far not found any new skin + head in SL, that is better technology but looks just like me. And I see myself in my avie, so. Anyway, honestly, though, I read the ads more as a new, upcoming line of heads will feature that system, the old fart heads won't be touched or improved or updated again. A serious pity to me.
  18. Evening y'all! I'm looking for a scripter, who is experienced with "OpenCollar", to write an OC plugin for me privately (paid of course!). Unfortunately, the guy who was going to write the script for me randomly bailed half way done, so I need to start over. It's essentially a modified "copy" of an existing little plugin sold on MP - sadly that creator seems to have long left SL. I forget checking the forums sometimes, so if you can help, please IM me inworld. Thanks! ♥
  19. Ready for the Secret Society BDSM Event tonight.
  20. My SL is looking rather lonely today, after my partner Jammy left for the week again! 😞 Last time we spent time, this morning, we took this photo before she had to leave for RL again. God, I miss her so bad!
