  1. Well, I finally got a trailer yesterday, thanks to a heads up from a good friend, and perhaps, fortunate timing... in the Sheldon region or area or whatever. So, I'll cease my complaining. Thanks for bearing with my frustration.
  2. No, what I'm saying is the page should have a time and release service. Exists all over the Internet. Except on secondlife.com. Same service (plug-in) you see when you buy concert tickets, you select seats, and then you have 5 minutes to pay... after 5 minutes elapse, it's released into the pool again. But until then, you have it locked. Not difficult to do AT ALL.
  3. So, twice in the last few minutes, I was able to select and name a home in Belliseria… and get to the "accept terms" page, then when I accept, it says no longer available. I'm sorry, but this is just the work of amateurs. If someone gets that far, the item should be locked for them for a period of time. Even just 60 seconds. Tons of websites work that way, including any type of lottery or ticket buying system... the code exists and can easily be implemented in any web services. Again, this process is so poorly designed, it's hard to conclude that it's not just for the amusement of Linden Labs.
  4. Funny, a friend mentioned to me recently that she also hates "moist." I don't have a problem with the word, though I prefer it limited to discussions of things like cake.
  5. Still haven't managed to get one of the new homes. Heavy sigh.
  6. I fully agree, if you pay for multiple premium accounts, you have the right to have multiple Linden homes, even the seemingly impossible to get homes. I have alt(s) too, with Linden homes, though they are the old homes they have had for years. For now, my main (i.e., me) remains (Linden) homeless. I do regret giving my Linden home I had for over 8 years to try for a houseboat that I still do not have, but... oh well. Probably will give up and get one of the boring old homes again... Those that have multiple hard to get homes should enjoy them...
  7. Can't find my post from yesterday. Odd.
  8. If that is truly the case, then fine. Speaking as a former software engineer, it's a little hard to fathom, but, if so, OK, I relent. I relent anyway, I guess. Again, I am by far in the minority on this, so, I'll just shut up now.
  9. I can only speak for myself. With a list, I would know where I stand. I could monitor where I stand on an on-going basis. I could be prepared to act, when the time comes. If no longer interested, I could remove myself from the list and let others who are still interested have a better chance. I would know whether I want to wait or just forget about the whole thing. a minimum amount of my time would be required for the whole process, whereas now I have the stress of trying and failing repeatedly. Just my $0.02L. It seems I am in the minority, by far. To me, though, this process ends up amusing and pleasing a few, and frustrating many. Not to mention unnecessary load on servers somewhere.
  10. 25 houses? This is so incredibly frustrating. To know the day, but not know the exact time, yet try at various times during the day non-stop... then hear only 25 were made available and they were gone in 7 seconds??? Again, why not just do a first-requested, first-served sign up, where they just get allotted to people in order on the list, they have a couple of days to respond and if they don't, the lot is made available to the next person on the list. Seems that would be a much better system than having lot of frustrated people trying all the time and wondering if they were release, are their pages not refreshing to show the new homes (would be better to show the new type and say sold out, rather than not show it at all, which raises lots of questions about whether one is even looking in the right place). Sorry, it seems the process is designed to frustrate. And it is successful in doing just that.
  11. agree to disagree... just set up the list, send notification to people on the list in order, give them time to respond and if they decline or don't respond, move to the next person.
  12. Why don't they just create a waiting list for people that want houseboats, and give them out in order requested? Aggravating to find out that some have been released just to see they are all gone.
