It's been over a week of troubleshooting with no luck. Help? Answered 02 Jan: Hi Nya, This one's a stumper. You crash on two viewers, but only on one of your avatars. You've done all the things I'd have recommended, with the exception of tossing the viewer's "saved state" folder. I added instructions for doing that in the comments of the SLV clean install KB page here... http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/How-to-uninstall-and-reinstall-Second-Life... I don't think that added step will fix anything for you. If you have access to another computer, or run Windows on your Mac, you might try installing a viewer there and attempting to log in. If the problem persists, then through some mechanism I don't understand, the avatar, or what it's wearing is exposing some bug in the viewer. If you are able to log in, try stripping off all attachments, then return to your finicky Mac and try again. I don't think I helped, but I do wish you luck. Marie: Thank you for your suggestions. I did try deleting saved state folder while doing another clean reinstall. Didn't fix, as you predicted. I do not have access to another computer, sadly. I upgraded to a premium account and submitted a ticket. :(

Recently my avatar tried to wear everything in my inventory when I tried to wear an outfit folder. It took ages to remove all the items as they loaded. Honestly don’t think that was an issue at last logoff. No successful logins since a normal logoff. Any other ideas? edit 1: Thanks for speedy response. Staying cabled in. Good link for clothing issue. I will try it when I successfully log in... hope I don't need to invest in a new computer. :( edit 2: trashed current v firestorm and did clean reinstall of 4.4.2. I can still log in with alt but not main. Found crash logs but have no idea what I'm looking at, lol. --- 6 days later... Still no luck logging in with main account. No problems logging in with alt. Help?
  3. It's not a common surname. I've only met one, but he was an awesome guy. I was looking at a list of bugs and apparently this has happened to quite a few residents and been fixed for all af them as far as I could see. The page I looked at was a little bewildering though. Issue-tracker? Anyway, thanks again. It's not a huge deal, but I like to keep things tidy and the OCD part of me hates seeing those folders out of place, haha.
  4. Thanks, Unklebob. I did submit a ticket and really appreciate you outlining how to do that in a simple way. Huge help. You know what? I've never met a Hotaling I didn't like. I kind of feel bad pestering them. I'm sure the folks at LL have bazillions of more important things to do.
  5. Thanks. Yes, I have done both. After doing some more research this looks like it may be a bug that many other people have experienced. Found it in issue tracker, but sheesh submitting a ticket looks totally overwhelming. After reading all the instructions, I don't even know if it's the right thing to do.
  6. When I close all folders, I have My Inventory folder, Evil Folder #1, Evil Folder #2, Library folder. Both evil folders have clothing items in them that cannot be deleted or moved as far as I can tell. I must have done something stupid when I first started organizing inventory items. I don't know how to fix this blunder. Any help will be appreciated. ^^
