  2. @Nikothraa: Have you tried uninstalling and deleting all client-created folders/directories before reinstalling? See http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/How_do_I_fully_uninstall_and_reinstall_Second_Life%3F for folder locations.
  3. Well, thanks, Storm. I shall pass it on and urge them to buy one for another. If kudos could be given here, I'd give you one.
  4. My thoughts are with the people of Japan. 継続は力なり。 P.S. No need to send me a bear, Storm. Give it to someone else.
  5. @Derek: Next, you'll be suggesting that we all convert to the Metric System. Nevar!!!
  6. I'm never quite sure how it will be received, so unless someone asks for my help and/or I know them well, I generally hold my tongue.
  7. No **bleep**ing way! You can't **bleep**ing go!! Yours is one of the few **bleep**ing sane **bleep**ing voices around here, gawd**bleep** it!

  9. Apparently, translation of the Forums, Blogs, and Answers (and one would hope the Knowledge Base, as well) is on the agenda of the next Community Tools User Group. http://wiki.secondlife.com/wiki/Community_Tools_User_Group There's also a JIRA issue linked to at that page that you may want to 'watch" (votes soon to be discarded altogether). P.S. Community Feedback might be a better sub-Forum for this. ETA: Hmmm. When I go back to that page, the agenda is no longer there. I'm guessing that was yesterday's (Thursday's) agenda? Here's the link to the JIRA, anyway: https://jira.secondlife.com/browse/WEB-3731?

I never said "creation is not creation" nor did I ever say "Is one kind of creation better than another? etc...." Was the first statement - "creation is not creation" - seperated from the question? Yes. But it's a direct quote, regardless. Did you NOT say "Is one kind of creation better than another?" It, too, was a question posed to another, but it does seem to be a direct quote NOT taken out of context. Suspiria Finucane wrote: Can you point to the exact post(s) you read those statements? You asked, I pointed.
  11. Cleaned up.. for now. From the front page, at least. Bravo, mods. The weekends are the worst..
  12. This is why: Time of capture 8:55 SLT
  13. Um.. maybe you should read the whole thread again.. Suspiria Finucane wrote: I see, so to you creation is not creation? Is one kind of creation better than another? From your second post in this thread. ETA: Just in case you can't find it, here's a pic for ya:
  14. The majority of blogs are set up and run by one, or a few, persons. The only limits usually placed on such things might be bandwidth usage or server storage space, but neither is probably very common. These forums are for the use of thousands, if not millions, of SL residents.
  15. Judging from some of her recent posts, I think it's more about Rank. Why should a lowly pleb like me have the same rank as she? There's also no Top Participant list any longer. As if anyone else cared.
  16. Apples and oranges. Prok's blog is to do with as he pleases. It's his creation. He's not competing (gawd, I hate that word.. almost as much as I hate those who feel everthing is a competition.. ) for space. If you want a platform to be "creative" on 24/7/365, there are many other options available.
  17. Could be as simple as having to clear the cache? I dunno, just thinking. Anyway.. I find web browsing on a two-inch screen isn't very workable for me, and only do it if I have to. Too much pinching-to-zoom and scrolling left and right and all that. BUT.. I would do more of it if more sites were optimized for mobile, and I think more will be as the demand grows.
  18. I just tried it on mine (Optimus V, using Dolphin HD browser) with no problem. Though I don't think I'll be doing that very often. Maybe you need to run an app killer?
  19. I suspect that if you're truly "addicted" to SL, then you'll just find something else on the internet to get "addicted" to as soon as you do leave SL. So, in addition to deleting your account, consider giving your computer away to someone in need.
  20. Suspiria Finucane wrote: Are you belittling the people who author creative threads? Define "creative thread," please. I would not consider threads like "I use Twitter. Do you? Isn't networking great?" or "Are infohubs a good place to meet people?" (from someone whose account is years old) terribly creative. Don't worry, Susp. Even if post limits are instituted (doubtful that will happen, though limits during a post-registration probation period might help control the L$ scam spam), you'll be top PW.
  21. Having to collect "likes" to get out of probation? No thanks. It could take some people years, particularly if they don't suck up enough.
  22. Ishtara wrote: ... I didn't see too many complaints about it (probably because the people who would have wanted to complain couldn't post). LOL! Yeah, that might have something to do with it.. I considered the possibility of LL restricting the ability to post to those with PIOF, but there are a lot of people with NPIOF who I'm sure have made, or might make, valuable contributions to the Forum. If they weren't able to, I feel we would all lose. Plus, there's that whole classist thing. If the scammers have to switch between accounts to get their quota in, too bad. I think LL should make it as difficult as possible for them. Does a legitimate resident with a three-hours-old account need to post 40 new threads in that space of time? I'd wager not. So.. restricting new registrants to a fixed number of posts per day for say.. the first week wouldn't be so bad. If they're legitimate posts, all's good and you get a gold star and more privileges. It it's bot spam.. not so much.
  23. Ishtara wrote: LL can't possibly expect us to AR 24 threads each day. The spammer whose profile I'm looking at right now has so far posted 40 times since registering three hours ago. If LL can keep people from posting YouTube vids, one would think they could throttle that kind of posting. But that's too simple, I guess..
  24. Does something like this require a region restart? Yep.
