  1. ... go to the password recovery page. Enter your username and click Send Instructions to have instructions on how to create a new password sent to the email address connected to the account . You'll need to answer the security question you chose when creating your Second Life account. Be sure to check your junk mail/spam folder. If you can't recall the answer to your security question, just contact Customer Support, preferably by opening a support case. You'll be asked to verify your identity and, working together, we can reset your security question. We apologize in advance that support cannot retrieve passwords. Luckily, this won't be an issue once we reset your security question. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Password-and-account-information/ta-p/700017#Section_.1
  2. Posting a picture showing what it looks like might help... Lights can be in anything, btw, as Madelaine told you in your other post. It doesn't have to be a "facelight" per se. It could be your hair, jewelry, just about anything. P.S. Click Options / Edit on your post to add info, pictures, etc. No need to start another thread.
  3. Firestorm has an autoresponse to muted avatars option. ETA: Preferences / Privacy / Autoresponse tab
  4. http://community.secondlife.com/t5/Tools-and-Technology/The-Recent-Unpleasantness/ba-p/2730800 There's your "STATMENT". Happy?
  5. GMail allows you to use filters. Learn how to do so. https://mail.google.com/mail/#settings/filters
  6. Shouldn't you have to pay the customers to look at and touch you?
  7. LOL. "Post count" was my edit. But I think you are correct about the icon envy. And it is indeed tragic.
  8. Or... you know... at the 1:05 mark, that Perrie posted the relevant (transcribed) portion of. The video is also embedded at the link that he posted. Nice sig, btw. "Post count does not equate to intelligence.." Someone should have told you that back in the day, huh?
  9. That was just one plausible explanation. G'nite, Sonja. :smileywink:
  10. What you're referring to is one of the manifestations of what is known as "bake fail". Try some of the suggestions on this page: http://wiki.phoenixviewer.com/fs_bake_fail
  11. No, can't be done. You're allotted 117, period. If you need more, buy or rent land and ditch the Linden Home. ETA See this page for mainland pricing: http://secondlife.com/land/pricing.php If you bought a 1024 sq. meter parcel you would pay another US$5 a month for 234 total prims, not including a house (the first 512 sqm is a "bonus").
  12. First off, you have to set the viewer to allow you to access Adult content. See http://community.secondlife.com/t5/English-Knowledge-Base/Accessing-Adult-land-and-content/ta-p/805975. The default setting allows you to access General and Moderate content. Then, as stated, you may have to wait until your avatar is old enough. Parcels and sims can also be restricted to persons with payment information on file (PIOF) with Linden Lab.

Phoebe Avro wrote: The strange thing is I have been reviewing the grid status reports and those 3 days of concurrent unscheduled maintenance 4 weeks ago seem to be missing now ^^ and i guess some other instances of unscheduled maintenance have vanished too ^^ I for one am gonna start taking screen shots of a lot of things LL post on the blog etc coz it seems things get 'edited' or vanish ^^ The strange thing is that I've reviewed the grid status reports that went out over status.secondlifegrid.net/feed (I use The Old Reader as my RSS reader) and compared them to the "live" page and see no real discrepancies. I wonder how many people will blindly accept your conspiracy theory as fact and run with it.
  16. I don't think any such thing exists. If someone's mic is turned up high enough and your voice volume is turned up high enough you could probably hear them from the opposite corner of a sim.
  17. Well, some people did react as if someone threw that switch... Now there is outrage!!!!!! and even conspiracy theories.
