  1. Greetings All. I am working on a gazebo floor and trying to figure out how to use a texture on the LOD models that is not being used by the main model. I want to go from 3 textureable faces / 3 textures in the main model to 1 textureable face using a texture that the main model is not using. I've seen this done most often with trees, where the lower LOD is 2-3 crossed planes with an image of the complete tree as its texture. Any help is greatly appreciated.

  3. Hi all. I am making a beginner-simple box that is going to be a desk drawer. When I unwrap it the faces are not size-proportionate. I am doing a regular unwrap using the seams I have marked and then packing islands. In fact, the biggest face, the bottom of the box. shows up in the unwrap as one of the *smallest* faces. I've tried different seam configurations and even smart unwraps with the same result. This pic shows the bottom face of the box selected on the UV map. I feel a little silly. This should be an easy-peasy thang. Help? Thanks for reading

  5. Greetings all. I am trying to bake a downspot effect on the texture of a small tower i am building. I tested one wall by positioning a spotlight. The light effect looks fine in Blender but does not bake to the texture. Is there a box somewhere I am not ticking? Also, don't know if it matters, but I have an HDRI image set up for the main lighting. Tx for reading

  7. Greetings all, I am making a small pergola and trying to create a physics mesh that will offer collisiion only at the posts on each corner. I have created simple cubes to go on each corner to that end, but they keep ending up at the edge of what looks like the bounding box of the full object, with the roof. I have set Location, rotation and scale as well as set origin to Geometry for each piece, including the physics mesh. The pergola is one object. Any insight would surely be appreciated thanks.

  9. omgomg! Rider, that totally worked! After spending hours and *hours* submitting and reopening tickets about my dead Merchant Outbox, downloading various viewers, logging in, logging out, submitting a debug report, writing a jira, and searching any and all avenues I could think of (since LL was less than no help at all and I got the exact same canned responses you guys did), I finally ended up here. And I changed my website language to French. And then I changed it back again. And now my Merchant Outbox is working like a charm. Words fail...really.
