No joke, and Yes I already filed a ticket so everyone knows, and called Linden Lab. Like 6 Months ago someone tried to reset my password for Second Life, and I got a security notice to my email with a warning and IP address of the person who tried to reset it by Linden Lab's automated system I immediately filed a ticket and changed my password, and it isn't somethig simple as numbers, nad letters its very long contains lots of keys used on the keyboard and upper lower, numbers and other characters. A few days ago logging into Second Life my account was fine but after logging into Second Life today my account was stripped clean with the newbie Female Test Outfit/Avatar, I was in another simulator next to the one I own, and I knew somethign was wrong. I decided to relog clear my cache anyways logged back in all my items in my inventory were erased all 50k+ items that I owned, weapons I edited, old stuff I created deleted. I asked a few friends around if they got any wiered IM's check my transaction history, checked my PayPal, and CreditCard no fraud billing, or anything that I could see on my end finally later this day I get an IM from a Gorean and they are accusing me of being a Griefer, a Thief, and a Botter, they claimed I sent out notices in some group I asked them where they refused to tell me and muted me with the accusation it was me even though I told them my account was hacked/compromised. While I am not allowed to give their name, I checked this persons groups, and this person has given me the chill since I met them, and guess what, they are in Gorean groups with a known Botter/Griefer I knew of since 2009 and they knew other people on my list, quite odd. To me it seems like they might be the ones behind it so I updated my ticket with their name and log because they refused to provide details of the group I sent them in what harm would that have done other than helped me inform Linden Lab, and properly get items removed if they were truly not involved they should have helped unless they are just that ignorant. But beyond this they did give illegal IP hiding software to me that was illegally cracked from the popular pirate site back in the day never installed it but they did provide me with it over SL with this said they know more than the means of how to grief other residents and avoid bans the same as I do. * Even if they are telling the truth and it isn't them there are still 5 other peoples names who appear on the top of my head who are griefers and have griefed others some of them banned by LL, and that doesn't include friends of friends.* With all this said. If someone within I would say the past 72 hours or so has sent a notice in one of your groups with my account. 1. If it is a link do not click on it, as the way I think my account was compromised moreless is some type of tracking cookie or computer exploit. I can't be sure but none of my antivirus scans are picking up anything no malaware nothing. 2. If someone sent illegal content out using my account, know this possibly occur from my account I had no part in it, but report it to Linden Lab anyways so they can investigate and remove the content. 3. If they content was illegally Copy using my account, then please contact me in world, hopefully they do not gain access to my account again, and I will update my ticket to Linden Lab again. I will also request LL immediately blacklist the full permissions objects so they can no longer be used to create new spoofed content however this is up to Linden Lab I would do it personally but don't control Linden Lab's actions. 4. Do not rez any items given to you by me recently in World these could do harmful things to other residents. 5. If Notices were sent out in some groups containing stolen content by all means please report it to Linden Lab, and possibly contact me I will update the ticket with the information, and group as well. The sad thing is some of the full perm content I had in my inventory, and purchased rights to use from some of these merchants might have just been compromised I hope they just deleted it and didn't give it to themselves or save illegal copies of it. Linden Lab really does need to update security. While it is my responsibility to protect my own information, There are no virusus, trojans, or malaware being detected on my pc and I am still running additional scans to detect such. This should not have occur, and I will explain why. Lots of peoples online accounts are getting hijacked, never thought my SL account would ever become hijacked but it did, we are talking games like GuildWars 2, World OF Warcraft, etc. The Solution give better protection. 1. Give an authinticator keychain like World OF Warcraft that gives one time use codes. 2. When a person logs into their SL account send them an email require they click a link and authroize the IP address or do not allow the user to login. 3.Add secret question verification so once the link is clicked you have to answer a random secret question. Additionally add the option to not have any security function on your account for those few who might not want the protection. GuildWars 2, Nexon, NCsoft, Blizzard are all gaming industry companies that has this along with many other MMO's Second Life however lacks this. For all I know this could possibly be a breach in LL security, or someone who guessed a Linden Password, or something I have no clue all I know is 3 days ago my account was fine or something like that I login today everything is gone my profile is changed ETC. Also please note that anyone in Second Life (Bad Mouthing) My SL name like I am the griefer who did this will be publically made note of reguardless of if you are another merchant, a friend, or just someone I don't know. I have very little tolerance for those who wish to help these Griefers even after getting my account Compromised and idiots still feel the need to come after me like I Hijacked my own account. Its too bad them moron griefers didn't take a few bucks from my bank account because then I could have made it a federal investigation, and who knows maybe I still can.

This happens more often than you think, but this is probabily one of those mass distribution of griefer attacks. I agree with the Do Not Rez if you don't know where it came from, sadly sometimes someone is a newbie and gets lied to by a griefer, or troll ,and ends up crashing a sim or giving out stolen content because they rez an object and get banned, or suspended. If you accidently Rez a griefer object and grief a simulator you may attempt to remove it, but if its already self replicated and its too late, and you get suspended please file an appeal to Linden Lab explian exactly what happend to you, and they can check the logs to see who gave you the item and ask you do not rez it again, then when you get your account back simply immediately remove the item from your inventory. If you Attatched the item to yourself you may have to tell Linden Lab this so they can remove it for you. Note that the Item Names of the griefing objects can change at any time, so its not limited to those described in the article. Also for those who report griefers. I hope that you are aware of this so you don't blame a newbie to Second Life for griefing. When I report a griefer, I do more than report. 1. Check Profile, and Account Age. 2. Determine if it was an accidental Rez of an object. 3. If it was you may file an abuse report, but make sure to Let Linden Lab know it was an accidental Rez of something they had from a griefer. Its always nice to help a community out in Second Life, but reporting and getting people banned for being a newbie, or for accidental griefing isn't really helping. (Also for the more experienced users.) These griefer attacks can be backed up via CopyBot, and on a Griefer Makers computer so even if one gets blacklisted by Linden Lab, all they have to do is import the objects, and insert scripts again, or possibly using a view with an automatic importer to import and copybot their own griefer attacks in a non scritped area for mass destribution of griefer attacks with many diffrent inventory asset keys to avoid and circumvent blacklist. Basically it works similar to the Emerald, and Phoenix Bridge.

Haven't had the experience of being lied to about Class 9 sims yet although I know what you mean about Estate companies, and owners ripping people off. Throught my entire SL time I have seen RP sim owners charge people over $300 a month in TIER profiting $350, maybe $400 I don't know if they changed their rates, but you do the math. General Land Rates (subject to change): 4096m 936 prims 30.00 USD equiv. in $L per month 8192m 1872 prims 60.00 USD equiv. in $L per month 4096 Parcels X 16 because 4 = 1 Quarter of a sim This is Equal to $5280 USD in L$ profits from renters. Minus the cost of their current owned regions $3300 USD total. $.5280 -.3300 -------- $1980 Profit? Tax Free, just launder it out between friends monthly in U.S Dollars never have to pay TAX. They used to own over 25+ regions and were doing the exact same thing if they have grandfather sims I don't know this so the numbers could be off. The next thing I have experienced. Sim Owners who just don't care, and I don't talk about one company but a few I have brought attention of CopyBotters using their rented land to steal goods on and clone/illegally make copies. The owners do not care, they allow it and these are big land rental companies own over 200 sims I just leave it at that, and that cluster of RP sims too that I complain about a lot. My point is they say file a complaint with Linden Lab, and don't care. I can understand if a company really doesn't know and it happens accidently without knowledge its okay its not your job to police SL or your residents, but if you suspect something is going on, or get informed with actual snapshots or proof I believe it should at least be quietly checked out. Not only this. But I wouldn't be shocked at how many companies do things like you talk about buy cheap sell high there are a lot of them that do it I am sure. I even managed to find my name on a ban list of over 300 sims rented by one company because of some stupid griefers putting out bad name without proof. Luckily I managed to get removed to my knowledge, Found this out when I tried to access my friends land rented on one of their estates. I simply try not to piss off the big Estate Owner companies, but I wish they could do more when such conduct is proven to them and happend on their sim Let alone the lies to others whomever these companies were.

Honestly I would not even bother wasting for an advanced market place listing it just isn't even worthit in my view unless you are a BIG business even then. Popular Skin Creators and Designers I know of are so well known everyone knows of them and there is no need for it they own a full sim on the ones I know of or at least I think they do and they have a massive amount of skins there and have been in world for years. The best way you can make yourself known is by giving out freebies as well in freebie give away sims, Make sure what you give out is non full permissions Copy, No Mod Transfer, if you give it out full perms you can be prim spoofed by botters, or make it Copy Mod, no Trans give out both versions of it. When frebies get around newbies start to get curious omg this is a goo item so they search for your store, and if it has your tag on it even better like <Example Store> Name of item. Also Blogging, YouTube, FaceBook, Twitter gets your store name around, DO NOT GIVE PERSONAL information to these sitse however if you get hacked which their security often sucks you can put your RL identity at stake. DO NOT GIVE OUT YOUR CELL NUMBER EITHER, you can be tracked by people with tech skills. In game advertise networks help too such as Clubs with bilboards. I know of many merchants who have used very unique advertise methods which is what got me started into shopping with a few of them I never heard of in my SL Life, It is just sad that this one group of people I knew of didn't have the money to keep their sims running, and if I could have afford it personally I would have paid to keep some of these places open because they were good. But my point is friends of friends make good connections for advertisement sometimes.

If they are using it in a public area like a Welcome Area on SandBox its exactly that public Free to All no matter how much you like it or don't like it. TP to function just saves me the ability from having to wear one of those laggy multitools that takes up lots of time and lags the sim you are in, so start restricting my viewer functions I will start wearing them laggy multitools again when I enter the SandBox's you visit. If you are worried about privacy and own the land then... 1.Uncheck the box that says allow others to see your avatar and chat on the parcel who are outside the parcel. 2.Set a landing point below this will disable the TP to function and make them land at landing point. 3.Access Lines on those sims that allow it. 4. Set voice to its own channel.

Hi if there is a Bot asking for money, or person, or a CopyBotter, I would send a NoteCard to the owner of the store. I know of a few of these high end merchants, and they will likely be more than willing to kick, or ban the bot from the store. Yes the Bot's that spam people asking for money are annoying, and so are the people that run around trying to bite people and without knowledge brining them into a game of bloodlines even before they accept the bloodlines TOS its quite annoying really.

I have seen CopyBotters, YES AGAIN in Second Life Since 2009 They are copying from merchants I know of have shop with and trust, and to be quite strict theres 14 thousand plus registered accounts on some CopyBot sites I can't name here due to the TOS think about it thats a lot of accounts on a couple of forums, some of these people are not even hiding their SL Identity aka they are using their SL name, I have sent AR's on the people wearing stolen stuff my friend creator their name as creator and Linden Lab does nothing. Lets not forget about the most recent a RP community who pays over $1000 a month the owner does, but their friends of friends who plays there CopyBots many peoples hairs, and posts them on a sharing site which other people download and import/SPOOF? I have sent Abuse Reports to LL on this and this griefer is still in Second Life, meanwhile I have logs of rumors started by their ADMIN where they tried to say I was behind it without proof managed to get two of their creator friends I can't give names here to pass them rumors around but I got to the bottom of where it started. What Does Linden Lab want now to have a community of Trolls, Griefers, and Botters it seems LL doesn't take it seriously I would say this is an opinion not a fact becuase I know LL will claim they do but unless someone files a DMCA it seems nothing gets done for the most part of the griefers I see. Add more security to registrations to prevent griefer accounts. 2. Remove the Spyware systems, CDS, Red Zone, and Ban Networks. 3. Start giving better protection for Ripped Content. For those who may hear rumors, Yes I get accused of griefing a lot because of a lot of poltical viewers, opinions, ideas, and because I hate a lot of these no good for nothing looser griefers, and they get Butt-Hurt so much they go cry to everyone about me pretty pathetic, but either way this said they piss off so many people they finally get served, and if it happens so be it not my problem, I just call you out on unoffical SL forums and serivce winks, and I do not ever Forget period some people say it makes me a bad person for not forgetting but so be it. These Griefers/Botters make me rage so hard everytime I login to SL and have to hear a person i know has been seriously screwed over, let alone try to enjoy my Second Life in a SandBox and see the person next to me is botting, or botted content in the sandbox where I am seems to be there 90% of the time I login to SL. Then maybe work on things like AI Bots, and instead of highlight terrain give us 3D Terrain sculpting in SL not just Highlight terrain. I do understand there are good purposes for BOTS, like API scripted bots, or Networked bots for running a MMO in SL, which is very hard to do but seems to be one thing that LL is working on why they are making pathing for NPC's aka sculpted mesh avatars to walk and interact, but its going to take much more than just basic pathing actual scripting of bots to play animations, sit, sleep, eat, drink, talk like the talker bot script in SL and such to make it feel human, maybe even play sounds and upload sounds past 10 seconds would be great.

The reason, Unless you know a good merchant in Second Life, I know of a merchant I forget their name specifically but I have logs of them who was donating money to hospitals, and griefers attacked them which was pretty pathetic of the griefers so I know some merchants actually donate already./endrant Anyways what I am saying is if you really want to make a donation the best way is to donate through a site like RedCross people you actually see there, and possibly join a volunteer group to aid if you are in the area and really want to get involved. Besides the point of helping, a question of what I alwas question and ask. While there was millions of dollars in damages and loss of life the question is what can Mankind, or humans do to make it better? Better Buildings, Better design of homes such as basements under every home and storm shelters in public places? These are things that can be done but cost money. ( When I say basement I mean something you can stay in for like 24 hours or so without opening water tight. Consider the people who believe in the end of the world and live in an underground bunker water tight, with air pumps and such. To be honest any Third Party Viewer not released by Linden Lab can contain hacks,virsus, keyloggers, trojans etc. I think we all remember what happend with Emerald, and some of the history on it, which btw one of the people who to my knowledge knew the emerald devs quite well is still in SL running spyware/alt trackers called CDS. The only way you are gonig to know for sure if a viewer has anything malicious before even logging into it is by seeing the source code and seeing the person actually compile it using that code, unless you are a software kiddy and can decompile and check it yourself then recompile that is the only way. The other way I can think of is using a program like Net Limiter, or Commview, and monitoring all traffic coming from your computer and seeing if any packets get sent to any IP's you do not recognize and if you do and can link it back to your viewer then you know there is something fishy, but then again the most common users will not be doing this. Meh. Some people mistake the word hacking from Phishing, Spyware, and Malaware, and there are many causes besides Database compromises which happend with Sony, and a lot of game companies and installing something malicious on your pc, yes it can happen to anyone any time but there are ways to lower the risk. Also by keeping your paypal linked to SL or credit card someone could use your account and run yoru bills up so keep an eye out. 1. Easy Passwords Password vs Pa$sW0rD¿-Z9(-) 2. Clicking fake sign-in links to market place for example, if you discover you have done such immediately change your password. 3. Easy Secret Questions for your games, don't do it. ( For example LL asks for a secret question when you make your account so when you call them you have to answer it.) 4. Java, has been compromised due to its ability to do certain system tasks like those nvidia driver install applets its possible to infect a computer very easily with malicious exploits just by visiting any website I suspect they run a basic script I-Frame, or AD to do this which redirects your browser to another site or connection/enables java to do it your infected in a matter of seconds. 5. Doxing, do not post anything in your profile you don't want on the internet, do not upload graphics, RL pics, put personal indentifying information on facebook, myspace, youtube, etc, as just because you might be secure in SL doesn't mean if you put your mobile phone number on FaceBook that some hacker isn't going to be able to track where you are RL we know 911 calls do it maybe not 100% location but still. Don't even post your RL name for that matter.

While RZ was removed there are others in its place I am sure. We all know how easy it is to change IP address imagine you were at a hotel and just happend to be on the same network as me or using the free WI-FI, now imagine I decide hey im going to go grief everyone and steal from creators, well guess what, my IP address gets flagged by the system if i am a stupid griefer, but so does yours because you went to a club such as a lot of clubs in Second Life used Red Zone, and CDS, and now both your IP's are the same and match so you are obviously an alt right? Some people are just so ignorant they will believe anything they see and can't prove, I called out some of these clubs like a year maybe 2 years ago I asked them why I was being banned and kicked by Red Zone, the result was they just sim banned me because of Red Zone, but funny thing is since they used Red Zone they haven't had as many green dots on their sims now very few. ( I will personally name and shame anyone on every site and spread the word about anyone using such systems to abuse anyone I know.) Now if you are actually getting griefed, then ban the griefer, if you don't want someone there then I am sure you have the right to remove them, and or call Linden Lab. As of today I know of no way even for Linden Lab to perma ban griefers I have complained a lot for verification of accounts created to decrease the number of griefer attacks on residents but they haven't listen yet. However the people running such places do not have the right to grief other people by accusing people of being alts, I have been there before got accused of being a griefer, even a bot a few times, and even had uninoformed merchants spreading rumors because of their little anti theft groups they run but see they have been around for years so sometimes one accusation and others will follow. Ask for evidence they are like well this griefer used your name, or X person did this, and no kidding anyone can go grief in another persons name its happend to me its happend to a few others I know. The way you can avoid this. 1. Keep Media/AutoPlay off. 2. Keep voice off to avoid voice IP checks/hacks. 3. Do not listen to music in SL, if you really want to listen to music get a program like Proxifier, and load the stream through an external browser using a different IP than yours.

First, I don't understand the AD business you are talking about. 1. Second Life classfields/AD listing 2. Or Market Place AD. Either Way, always pay through PayPal, or a creditcard company with 0 fraud liabality, and make sure the terms and conditions on which you have signed with your card company. First, I would put in a support ticket, and talk to LL about the issue. Second, I would try giving them a call on the telephone after making the ticket incase they ask for ticket ID. I have never had a problem with Linden Lab on billing issues like these before so I couldn't say, however their support when I have had to phone LL has always been good has it changed I don't know however it seems like LL would be willing to help resolve the issue. While Linden Lab May have a certain TOS or disclaimer in their Terms OF Service, it does not limit the right to outside companies paying Linden Lab, aka if you have 30 days to file a dispute with your credit card company, or paypal then do it and tell them that they did not deliver the product or service to you. In other words the most that can happen is Linden Lab ban's you account, but if you really want your money back and don't care then this is an option. ( see you paid for a product by a company that is a registered company in the U.S, and they actually didn't deliver the product.) Its not up to your CC company, or paypal to review their TOS, and conditions, all they handle is the money, and if you claim you didn't recieve your product and the company is unwilling to refund then they should handle it. Also I believe given the fact that LL is located in california you could. www.ftc.gov and file a complaint here for lost funds. I have filed disputes against other companies for failing to deliver virtual products a couple with paypal, a couple with my card companies, and guess what. Every Time, I got my money back It was never no more than $100 lost so it wasn't a lot but each time I got the money back even though the company declined to refund. There are also other situations where you can use this to your advantage. If this doesn't work and you decide legal aid, small claims, or such that is another option if you wish to spend more money I guess.

As for Abuse Reporting botters, every botter I have seen know exactly what they are doing they talk about it over the mic, and know the risk of being banned. They are not some newbie or some 15 year old given a bot and told its okay to copy things they absolutely do know it is wrong. Prim Spoofing is a problem now because any merchant who has ever given away anything full perms is at risk of having their reps tarnished in SL. Recently a merchant I know of from one of my groups had other items ripped off from LandScaping merchants with their name as the creator. I know that this person didn't do it because he is the one who gave us word about it and he sells items full perms. But now the people who have no idea what a prim spoofer is or rezzing multiple prims to clone someones object are going to think he is a botter. Then there are those who on purposely give out items just so they can claim they have been prim spoofed and use their own prim to rip content and do it very wisely to avoid LL's detection of botting even use of alts with different spoofed information like logging in from their grandmothers house with a diffrent IP. I know some people like this who are in SL and shouldn't be but why LL wont respond is beyond me. A friends entire store was ripped off years ago by this person who claimed they were spoofed yet they weren't and were not banned they gave me the items themself. (For the Record I no longer have them disposed of it like a year ago or so never used.)

Even if the system did not use media to scan viewers which is pretty much useless it is still in my view a violation of the SL community standards as a ban network because while each individual has the right to choose whom they wish on their sims/server they do not have the right to spread accusations, rumors, and by having any information stored in this system or the owners sent information it is telling them I am a Bot. While CDS isn't the only system that uses IP address there are other systems as well like Anti Boot systems that check IP address, and I have no problem with it as long as people are properly made aware of what the system is doing to keep from cheating contests and not abused. CDS + Red Zone were abused, and CDS remains in world today and has done nothing but bring harassment to myself, and other users/ people I know who were mistaken/logged using emerald. LL has yet to ban these systems from Second Life. ( Yes) I have the leaked CDS script from I assume the person who wrote it and open sourced it as well as an IP Snatcher script for Second Life, technically I know enough using these scripts to actually make my own that supposedly bans CopyBot's, or bot users, but I know how inaccurate these systems are and how much harassment they bring so have no intentions of even doing such. Also I couldn't help but notice in this guys profile he has Linden World listed in his Picks destination unaccessable which tells me he has linden friends been to the sim or did some asset editing. My problem is simple while I have nothing against this creator or anything I am very angry that LL allows this type of stuff and should at least remove these systems from market and say these systems are no longer allowed. It would make things a lot better, and personally if these systems were all removed I would probabily start to gain some more respect back to the creators of such systems over time. Sim crashing is still a major problem along with the IP disclosure and voice exploits to obtain IP using tools like commview, or voice packet monitoring. I know that if a private estate crashes you can call LL and get instant support, or file a ticket, however if its a public sim like a welcome area they generally don't respond as fast.

Intentional Sim Crashing is a problem, sometimes it can happen by accident if a newbie is given a sim crasher and rez it into the region, however given the fact that griefers are abusing this constantly using a few methods to crash regions including packet spam multi rez objects with changing shapes, sounds, meshes, prims, GPU crashers into those as well it becomes a problem. 1. IP addresses are not private however with this said, I believe Linden Lab needs a policy against such disclosure of IP addresses. Red Zone & CDS have the ability to do harassment to many users including myself have been flagged by these systems alts disclosed without express consent to users that otherwise should not know who I am, and such.LL should take action against the creators of such systems. In addition the IP address logging and IP addresses being disclosed is being logged by a voice exploit if you are in the welcome area using voice do not do this as this is how IP addresses are logged besides clicking any links, or using media keep media, and voice off at all times. ( while I understand that an IP address is not private users need to be made aware of third party disclosures and a way to prevent abuse with such sytems and information in SL.) For example the TOS states that tracking alts by IP address or disclosure of any information without express consent is not allowed but because these sytems CDS and RZ + others are allowed its being done. They can argue me a different story, but I have ran tests on the owners of these systems 2 accounts and exposed them to the system on purpose to verify this was right. 2. Remain Anonymous do not give out any information such as User Names, Character Names, or any information for Yahoo,MSN, YouTube, etc. By doing such you risk that any information used on these services can be used to track where you are in Real Life, who you are. Even giving out your cellphone number to an experienced hacker can result in your Real Life location being compromised so don't do it. Remember that SL maybe safe by Linden Lab for example, however you need to understand the security of any other services you are using and risks by giving out information on the internet. Twitter, and Facebook, have been compromised so much recently its not even safe to use either of these. Do not give out things like Steam user name either unless you are comfortable that you don't care who knows goes for any service really. General Rule, Keep SL in SL, don't give out any information to any third party services, don't give out your RL name, don't use your same SL name anywhere on any blogs you don't want people to know, profiles, or services as these can be tracked by search engines etc. 3. Bans from Second Life are currently useless, I have seen many griefers getting banned just to show up 30 seconds later on a new IP address and spoofed information and they can repeat as much as they like. The only suggestion I can give to LL at the moment is to add verification methods to all newly created accounts allow other users who already have accounts to keep them as is without verify because if they are griefers they will get banned sooner or later anyways but verification on all new accounts would slow down the creation of griefer accounts and a variety of ways could be used to verify an account and keep from making 100's of accounts a day.

Well if you see someone wearing copybotted hair right click the hair they are wearing, choose inspect if it is ripped off leave the inspect window open go to Help > Report Abuse > Include screen shot >and submit an abuse report. However it also depends on if the person is a newbie, or if they are actually the botter themselves of what actions will be taken. Sometimes it is nice if you see a member of your own RP group like I have before to tell them to get rid of it help them out and such, however by doing such in any way you risk making yourself a target of the botters aka they will try to get you banned cause you all kinds of drama in SL. If its someone in the SandBox leaving out stolen content same thing file an abuse report, now if you are sure that the person is Copybotting it then report them for being a copybotter, if you are sure that they are the ones who created it because its their name as creator and they are wearing it let LL know its stolen. Take Snapshots in both reasons send it to the creators and HD snapshots so they can clearly see their work and file a DMCA if they wish. Otherwise if its a newbie wearing stolen hair and they indeed do not know then LL is likely not to punish them unless they are passing around the content themselves, however you have the option of confronting them and asking them about it trying to help as a concerned citizen of SL so to speak, however by doing such expect someone to say F***** you and we dont care and even post your SL name on blogs and grief you. * fact is they will get banned but see griefers dont care if they get banned they just come back over and over again many accounts.* Some people find reporting theft not to be worthit, others do. Its a matter of what you are doing with your time if you do not wish to RP being a police officer, then you don't have to do it, however there is a difference of doing that and knowingly supporting a CopyBotter by remaining in a RP group for example, or allowing these peopel with concent to be on your lands copying other people with knowledge of them doing such. Try to stay away from as much as you can and often check the products for creator tags like <Name Here> things like this often names of stores or intitials of the creators name and if you see content going around full perms not created by them then you likely know its ripped. --Other-- I have different feelings about different types of piracy, and situations, however that doesn't change the fact that it is still illegal, and you do it at your own risk. Generally LL will suspend your account if they are checking for things like Stolen Content, running inventory fixes, or bugs on an account, or if they just need to check something related to a TOS breach or something it is a common thing happend to me before. I believe this might be called Account Testing. Maybe you were wearing an object which was griefing another user in Second Life, or slowing a simulators preformance and LL needed to run a test, I have no idea of the cause, but sometimes even if you were you wouldn't know until LL tells you especially if you are just in SL to have fun. See griefers can give you an object even a Freebie Gun, AO, or in general anything that is a prim asset, and that prim can contain a script that spams/griefs another resident with green messages, one common thing that griefers do, generally you would not know about it, and I am sure you would not be meaning to grief someone you never knew but it happens and you might not know about it unless LL or the person getting spam tells you or something for example. Even one cube can effect an entire simulator when it is worn or contains multiple cubes/assets that can disrupt a simulators preformance griefers can give these out as freebies, and trigger them via shout command, or web interface, and you wouldn't even know it, even chatbugs for that matter. It could also be the money thing as people said to check out things like Money Laundry, or illegal tips or such, sometimes griefers Steal Money where it be from LL permissions, or other illegal practices and will toss it in tip jars to create grief, they get banned they don't care because its a griefer account, but the other person gets suspended and does care. Generally they would suspend to keep you from logging in for like an hour just to check it sometimes less than an hour. Even if your suspension was only for one hour, I would check your email, and if you really want to know, I would file a ticket with Linden Lab and ask.

Not only this but some people like this guy has or had picks in his SL profile having accessed, and been to restricted linden lands called (Linden World) and supposedly has linden friends, and not only this one dude I know bout some others too have Linden Friends and like to brag about it. Lets not even talk about the false DMCA reports on YouTube to try to silence us about the system and how easy it was to get around. Generally it isn't like I care about a forum ban anyways, I just change my IP 10000's of times come right back tell the moderators to choke on it, because on the internets there is no real rules about posting enjoy your ban. See the way I believe you try to silence facts, help griefers, or retaliate first, then I will do it back and I will bring a few friends it will only be worse on yourself, no need to brag but some moderators on some gaming forums I know of learned the hard way and I had to give them a box of tissues after over 2 weeks of constant forum griefing. And believe me when I say they deserved it because they were helping griefers who harassed me & some other people for over 3 months after paying the company over $300 USD in cash for a 6 month subscription + Other content and ended up leaving in 2 months because of it, and this moderator helped the griefers. When it comes to gaming, and Piracy I do try to stay up to date on game releases mostly MMORPG titles which are actually impossible to pirate because you have to have an account and key to play online. The problem with Steam however is while I enjoy steam because it keeps all my games in one place, and I have never had a problem with it. As a service it just makes games 100X easier to pirate especially since they offer preloading a pirate or cracker is able to pay $50 for the game crack it before it is even released and stick the crack/download on the internet and bam it goes viral before the game is even sold in the store. Don't get me wrong there are legit uses for cracks just as there is the CopyBot. There are legit users for actually cracking games like if a person already purchased the game, and doesn't want to have to run steam at the same time to play the game, or they purchased the game and want to play it before its actually released because they preloaded the game then by all means I see nothing wrong with it because they actually paid the developer. The problem however is the piracy the people who actually didn't buy the game and just download illegally crack it and play it without paying the developers a dime. It actually takes Millions of dollars and hundreds if not thousands of hours to create these games some people just really don't understand it. The CopyBot is generally bad in everyones view or most peoples view, but like it or not even if you have a legit viewer that can back up your stuff you are still using a CopyBot, but then you try to backup your shape, and your name comes off of it as creator due to a glitch and you have to write down all the numbers how annoying it can be. Point is the bot itself can be used for legit uses but people abuse it just as people abuse cracks. I don't support the theft of others products, but I can see the useful purpose of being able to backup content you create. The main problem I have with steam however. Is where Bioware, Bethesada , and a few other game developers thought that steam would prevent piracy or lower the numbers so they required people to download and install a third party application just to play the game, well these companies were wrong about it even encryption is easily broken which was placed on these retail copies at the store, and the fact that they might still require users to have to use Steam even those who don't want to. Another fact is that every copy of the most popular game titles released on torrents now come from Steam or cracked versions from Steam. In fact I am sure even Border Lands 2 will be Cracked, and pirated shortly if it already hasn't been. DRM is a pain While I understand the need to protect content I absolutely HATE DRM, especially on windows media RIP's/music it is so annoying you don't backup your license and only get a certain number of times you can listen to it if your computer messes up too many times and too many wipes DRM is just absolutely annoying. If anything I bet its either something I wrote wrong, or something you understand wrong, and bet its about that steam encryption thing, or something like I cracked some Steam games in which I have winks, I modified aka Hacked some of my games to play without having to use steam eventhough it requires it, not multiplayer games, but simply wanted to play it without steam I do have a license to actually play the games though and purchased. But the term (Hacked Steam) as in compromised their server to download and play their game, or harmed other people, Doesn't make sense so yup id like to see where I said it .
