Illusion Panache

In a build I've been editing, I've stupidly allowed the root prim to become completely enclosed inside other prims in the object. Now I need to move the root prim, but I can't click on it to select it. The work is fairly complex, so i don't want to undo the rest of what I've done. Is there any way to select an inaccessible root prim, or any other linked prim that can't be directly clicked on, without disturbing intervening prims? Thank you for your help.

I tried tinting. It doesn't work because different areas of the fabric need different color corrections. I probably should have said this in my original question too. Thank you for your answer.

You bring up a good point. I had not considered that the item, even if modifiable, might contain a texture from a third source with restrictions on its use. Thank you for your answer.

Thank you for your courteous reply. I tried to contact the creator several weeks ago but have not yet heard back. So for now I will just continue to use the item as it exists with the uncorrected colors.

I don't want to cause any problems. That's why I'm asking if this is something that can be done. I see that I should have specified that I was looking for a solution that is permissible as well as physically possible (if such a solution exists). I apologize for my lack of clarity.

Oh, I'm perfectly OK with the original creator keeping her rights, and I fully respect the wishes of creators who make non-modifiable items. All I want to do is make some color corrections, if possible. Thank you for your answer.

For clothing with modify permission, is it possible to extract the fabric texture and export it to my computer in a form that can be edited in photoshop, then re-uploaded as modified clothing?
