A list would be *very* long, but just ask about any items in particular that you'd like to track down by name/maker. Some of the larger items: the kitchen cabinets and stove are from Hive, the fridge is from KraftWork. The dining table, chair with yellow striped cushion, hall stand are from Apple Fall, dining chairs are from Trompe. Sofa is from Trompe, coffee table from Tuesdays, chair from Chez Moi. The green 'Chinese credenza' is a freebie from Apple Fall. The bed and closet, dresser and bedside tables are from Apple Fall (the cream furniture is brand new - on display at the AF landing point). The shower, bath, sink are from Trompe, and the frames in the bathroom are from Nomad. White metal table and chairs outside are from Chez Moi, sun canopy is from Muniick, lawn chair is from What Next and the yellow lounger is from Lisp. I'd have to check about smaller bits and pieces.
Oh, and the dividing wall in the large room cost all of 25L$ on the MP - it had some framed glass panels that I made transparent. (Absolutely nothing worked in this house style for me until I put that in!) https://marketplace.secondlife.com/p/Day-Dreamer-Tortuga-Divider-boxed/21109576
wow, amazing work.........I need ideas like that
oh, and by the way ---- who did ya bribe to get the extra prims it seems like you'd need for all that stuff?

So I strongly suggest that if you PLAY, play just once and see how things look to you OR just buy ONE item off the reseller Marketplace. Not going to say who obviously but this is a good rule for any gacha IMO :D.
Thanks for the idea about checking the resellers on Marketplace. I never realized items would show up there so quickly. I'd rather pay a little more and then KNOW what I'm getting, anyway.

Hi all. I picked the Havana stilt, because how it sits on the lot facing the water, and the decks on that side. But I'd like some suggestions on how to fill in that large middle room. I'm thinking a kitchen on one of the side rooms, and bedroom on the other. help.....

Thanks for posting that here! Many of us aren't in the group chat enough to pick this info up.

It was available for all the items I bought - for those items that didn’t show a group subscriber option, I paid 50L$ and was given money back - sometimes 5L$ and sometimes more.
darn, didn't realize that......but no big deal, even at 50L, it's a heckuva deal.......and be sure to check the outlet, seemed like mostly everything up there was set at 0L

He said that he had added some of the Outlet stuff to the Freebie group. There are likely other outlet items that are also free now.
Unfortunately, I assumed that the group discount would be turned off for the sale (so many stores disable it), so I did almost all of my AF shopping from the MP. That wrong assumption cost me about 450L.
*sigh*I only found about three items that applied the group discount, all in one of the first rooms. After that, there was no group discount that I could see.

Just want to say THANK YOU for whoever started this thread. Sure saves times for the rest of us!

Thanks for all of the replies; you guys are so smart! I just checked my teleport history (I use Firestorm) and see that the first two are listed as "yesterday" and the latest three as "today" although they were before I went to bed last night. That is definitely helpful. Is there a way of getting more information in Firestorm as to the actual times of claiming and abandoning?
I do it "old school". I just keep the time on a notepad.

There has been debate in these threads before about whether it is 24 hours from the time of claiming a home or 24 hours from the time of abandoning a home. In my experience, it is 24 hours from claiming, on a rolling basis as noted above.
Someone recently posted that they verified this with Support, but I don't recall where exactly that post would be. Probably buried in this thread somewhere!
Yep, as a long-time GOH player, I've found that it counts from the time you abandon. So if you've hit the 5 home limit, you get another chance 24 hours from when you abandoned the earliest one on that list. Your mileage may vary, but that's been my experience.

For me, one of the big pleasures of using an addon is being able to customize the windows! We put stained glass textures on the windows of one room of an addon, and on a many-windowed bedroom we removed the one-prim-each shades and made a window system that darkens the windows when we like.
For skylights, wouldn't a simple framed glass panel do? Here's a full-perm one, haven't gone to look so no idea about LOD. No maps in this inexpensive product, but I don't know that I would spend any time making a custom texture for the frame if I wanted a different wood, I'd just tint it lol.
I would think that some of the usual suspects for full-perm home parts (ER/Simple Reflections, Zimberlabs, lalala) would be sure to have a simple framed window panel you could make skylights out of.
Yah, but this assumes that I know enough about building to build an add-on to put the window into, or find an add-on that could be modified to add a roof panel, and that I would have any idea how to do that. I'm happy buying stuff, not interested in learning how to build.

I know many do not like big add-ons. I tried to make this more interesting than a long shoebox by making the roof height different and have a break in the long wall. The doors open in and it is 2 steps up to the terrace. All built by me and not for sale. I really like the height of an open ceiling. Kitchen and dining table behind the half wall.
Everything goes inside the border, nothing is linked to cross into public space. The brown/white parasol and chairs are the Mole's. The pool is only a splis splash pool of course, since we can not terraform.
Beautiful work. I'm not much of a builder, and would love to find roof skylights like you've added -- to help bring in the sun. So far, I haven't found anything like that on the MP.

I have also started to upload free images, like those over the bed, from Unisplash.com. The page looks very legit, so I am sure I can do it without breaking rules.
Thank you for the info on the wallpaper - will be perfect for my beach house. And the free images from that site!

Please do not quote, I am going to regret posting this.
So the question is... how do you (All) feel about me showing off things I will not sell you?
Marianne,
Please keep posting the great pics of what you're doing. And don't put any stress on yourself to jump into the hard work of MP listing. I enjoy your work, and it sparks my own little grey cells to work on my home. I'm not much of a builder - more of a buyer - but I'm learning. Keep doing what YOU enjoy.

Looks great! There isn't much info on the kitchen at Dust Bunny. How heavy is the LI? What is all included? I see they offer an additional "decor purchase".

I love what you've done with your place! I love houses that say something about who lives there and yours is wonderfully eclectic.
Great job, Ziggy! Where is the kitchen from?

Hello everyone. I'm releasing my Trad at South Haven in 10 min. It's a great location, on an elevated parcel, with the sea on the backyard. It's perfect, but I'm a forest person, so I hope someone nice gets it
Got it with an alt, Elena. Thank you for the notice! It was exactly what I hoped to find -- west-facing to the sea, elevated, green lot!
