Hey guys and girls! I am looking for a combat system meter that works with any weapon.. Bascically a script you put into your weapon that communicates with the HUD or ''Hp bar'' above your avie. The reason is I want to have fun with friends on my sim but I dont want to buy a DCS system and then be forced to buy all the dcs weapons. We all have different weapons from different stores and we want to use our own. So my question is if this is possible?

Any eta yet?

I guess women don't have this problem because there are sooooooo many more things available for women it is impossible to run into someone who looks just like you.

Hello community and Linden Lab, Before you all jump at my throat and tell me how horrible I am for wanting to block the inspect option, please hear me out. As a male mesh avatar owner I can tell you first hand that it is very hard to create a unique look. The mesh bodies and heads made it challenging and with the limited (GOOD QUALITY) mesh clothes available it becomes a mastery of it's own to be unique. To see me trying to create a nice unique look (and often suceeding) and then after a couple of days see other people wear the same thing I was, or all of a sudden owning the same jewelry/sunglasses/etc, makes me a bit sad. People don't put their own thought or creativity in their looks anymore. In a way its a compliment but for someone who has put a lot of time into their looks it is frustrating to see someone be able to just inspect and copy everything without thinking or having to do any searching for himself. So I want to BLOCK inspecting, just how I can BLOCK avatars-lookat or avatars in general. Maybe the firestorm developers could build it in their viewer.. Would be amazing.

I hope content creators will give a free update of their mesh heads. It would definitely be good cusomer service.

All these changes to the MP and they still haven't figured out a way to EXCLUDE demo's from searchings.

So you probably think I am just being whiny or picky but I am really not.. There isn't a whole lot of male content out there to begin with... Most NEW things are made for the Niramyth body now. I've been monitoring it for a while. In a way it makes sense that content creators want to cater to the biggest group, because 50% of the male avatars walk around with the Niramyth body nowadays, looking like clones of each other. I guess my fashion style is beach boy looks and streetwear, which is mainly Niramyth content. It keeps frustrating me to see an awesome product, something that matches my wishes 100% and then realize it's for the stupid Niramyth avatar only. There are many content creators who offer products for TMP, Niramyth AND Slink at the same time.. What's the difference between these and the ones that don't? Are the ones that don't just being lazy?

Well this is quite a bit dangerous though. if ONE mesh body creator has basicaly a monopoly on the market and causes content creatores to just think about money and only make content for this one mesh body then the whole idea of ''be who you want to be'' and ''make your own identiy'' in SL is ruined. Right now it is seriously lacking diversity as every 3rd avatar I run into wears the same mesh body (Niramyth Aesthethic). I know there are a content creators who sell TMP and SLINK clothes as well and I really respect them for making their items available for other mesh bodies. I wish more content creators would follow this example or maybe that Linden Lab comes with an easier way to ''port'' mesh clothes into another body. But you all get what I am hinting at right? It can't be good that everyone is making clothes for just ONE single body (Niramyth Aesthethic). Dear merchants! This is a message to request you to make clothes not ONLY for the Niramyth Aesthethic body but also think about SLINK, OMEGA and TMP. As a customer with a lot of lindens, it is unbelievably annoying to see a really nice item and get excited only to read it is exclusive for the Niramyth Aesthethic mesh body. I have tried that mesh body on and I am not a big fan of it and I wouldn't just buy it just because I like to wear a special shirt. Thank you in advance. (btw, did the creator of Niramyth Aesthethic promise everyone commissions for making things exclusively for his body?? Just curious).

heya all, Thanks for the great feedback on this topic! I appreciate it very much actually. I think i understand the other side too now, so it helped a lot. Naturally nobody should ''force'' anything, people are free to do and choose what they like. Coming back on something that was posted here too, I DO think it would be wonderful to have more female construction workers, Bank CEO's and bus drivers. I do think it would be very positive to have more men in healthcare and working at hospitals other than docter. Men and Women are different, of course, but everything should be equally available to them,, in a perfect world. i know I do not have the skills to start developing a clothing line, nor the money to buy a sim. I could learn the skills, of course, and I would love to if I have the time for it. Which still leaves me with the lack of money to fund a sim to have the store on. So Society dictates whehter i spend my money on a car, or sound system or alcohol, rather than a fancy looking outfit? Well that pretty much sucks. Men should learn to think for themselves, make up their OWN mind, not be forced by Society to buy the things that Society dictates! What I want to ahieve, is for men to realise its not ''gay'' if you are interested in fashion. Its not ''gay'' if you want to look good for your partner, and spend extra time and care on your appearence. Seriously, men that wear an old pair of jeans and a random white shirt are extremely far behind. Even when you dont have much money to spend (in sl and rl) there are still ways to stand out from the crowd. It is the general interest that is missing though. Men simply dont care, as ''things have always been like this''. I compare that to sheep, sheep always follow each other, never think on their own, thinking what THEY actual want. It's such a shame, as there can be MUCH created on the market of menswear, all the lovely clothes and equipment that can add so much value and colour to the life of the gentleman. But alas, things have always been like this, and they will probably never change, at least not in this generation.

With all due respect, but that is a VERY old way of thinking.. Just because things are as they have always been for 5000 years, does not mean there can be a change?? Why would man always have to wear suits to work, and go home and have dinner that his wife made for him? I mean.. well, its just a very old and wrong way of thinking. Men should be more intersted in fashion, they should be more pick in what they wear, and they should DEMAND a big variety of clothes available in both SL and RL. Now i agree that there are not so many male fairy's, but even when i look for shoes, or normal clothes for a human, I cannot find something proper for the men. With the next bit, I hope not to offend any content creator, but there IS a lot of crap on the market. Noob stuff, which is usually free or cheap, great for a new person.. but when the standard SL clothes you get upon registration are better than some clothes inworld, then i think something IS wrong. Just because a noob/freebie place that sells shoes is popular, does not mean I WANT to see it coming up when i search for ''male shoes''. In fact, all that comes up is FEMALE stuff, or mixed stuff, then when i go there, there are 2 pairs of male shoes versus 10000 pairs of female shoes. A couple of days ago, i searched on the Marketplace for ''boy'' then i narrowed my search down to the male catogeries only... and even then, there are MORE items in the ''female'' categorie than there are in the ''male'' categorie. Even though is earched for ''boy''.

It is easier said than done to make clothing myself in SL. Trust me, If i knew how to, I would have filled up the gap in the market and came up with a brilliant clothing line for men only. But unfortunately I do not have the time to start at the base, let alone the starters money for a sim and what not. I am happy that people actually agree and state this as an issue too. Also thank you everyone who sent me landmarks to places with potential, I am checking them out as we speak.

Thanks for your comments. You are right that IRL it is pretty much the same. The men's department is at very dark, small section of stores, whilst the woman department is at the front, taking up 80% of the store space. Personally, i blame the men themselves. They dont ''care'' much about the items they wear, neither are they very interested in fashion at all. Which is a very wrong development. You do not have to be ''gay'' to like fashion or show interest it. Maintaining your body and dressing accordingly IS ALRIGHT, it is encouraged even. I think that is the main reason though, there is not much demand for good quality menswear, because the gentleman have a general lack of interest, or because the Society thinks men and fashion do not go together, unless the word ''Gay'' is inbetween. That is just totally totally wrong. But we have to live with it, and SLOWLY improve the situation i suppose.

Yea, MOST items for the male is hiphop and bling-bling noob crap. There is hardly ANY content that is good quality for the men. It goes from Skins, Hairs, Shoes, small attachments, Jeans, shirts, shapes.. basically everything Unless you search for ''gun'' or ''Hero'' .

Then could you send me a few names of the stores or send the landmarks?? I searched for ''boy'' now.. in SL search, the 2nd hit that came up was: ''freebies freeskin free skin free gift skins female women girl hot fashion shopping Face & body shape hot sexy cute fashion clothes dress emo bad dirty store fishon arab kuwait ksa gulf arabic Q8 love dance clothes dress snow winter hair male man guy boy '' In the entire store there was NO stuff for boys -.-

Heya, in RL and SL i am a boy. When I want to find clothes in SL for my avatar, its SOOOO hard to find good stuff for the male. It is really, REALLY annoying to search for something like ''Fairy'' or ''Medieval costumes'' or ''Silks'' and all you see is stuff for woman. MAYBE, if i am lucky, I find a few products in a store that are for the males, far hidden at the back corner. What is wrong with the SL merchants? There is a HUGE gap in the market! Look for shoes, jewelry or even regular clothes on the marketplace. The items listed as ''female'' is 3 .. no 4 times bigger than the ''males''. I find this very disturbing, if not annoying. So I hope a lot of merchants read this, and start making some proper male items!! Thanks, and sorry for the rant. It sucks when you cannot spend your L$.

Profiles that open in extern webbrowsers only? Hmm, that kind of sucks to be honest. I see SL as a game still, meaning I rather want to do everyting in the viewer itself, without having to ALT-TAB constantly.

It is all very good news! IT requires a lot of work though - I AM conceirned that LL simply lacks employees to do this! Since they released so many Lindens a couple of months ago, I fear they just dont have enough people to do the job properly and within a good time-frame.
