  1. Thank you again Persephone I think our group needs to get together and weigh up the options... my brain is on fire haha Thanks again Geoff
  2. Thank you Qie & Persephone for your replies Something I did over look was Qies point of 3 people paying $13 (total of $39) for a parcel that would only cost 1 person $31 pm... I missed that one lol Thank you so much for your replies and help. Geoff
  3. Thank you Persephone for your reply. Very kind of you to take the time and go into the details. So to clarify... as an example: I person buys a 8192 sqm of mainland and the land is deeded to a group, with those 3 people as members. They each donate their premium allowance of 1024 sqm (3072 sqm in total) This would leave a balance of 5120 sqm of land to be divided 3 ways (approx 1706 sqm each). So in each of the 3 members land use fees webpage, a relevant tier band of 13 US Dollars pm is selected? Are my calculations correct? Thank you again Geoff
  4. Hi all… I have been in Second Life many years, but have never been involved in any Group Owned Land, so pardon my naivety in asking a few, hopefully simple, questions in how they work. My self and a few friends are wanting to purchase a single plot of Mainland and deed to a group. Am I correct in thinking that firstly, all we do then is to enter our contribution based on what premium allowance we each get, in the “Land & L$” tab in the group profile? And secondly, am I also correct in thinking that each of our account pages/land use fees then picks up what share of the tier we would each be paying? One last question… Do all members of the group automatically pay a share of the tier, or can there be some members in the same group who don’t pay a share?... and how is that done? Thank you for any help. Regards Geoff Quinnell
  5. Yep getting the same... need to contact them urgently, but how??
  6. Great ideas, and I truly wish you the best of luck if you suggest that... but I dont even get a reply to my tickets from the Lindens, let alone them setting up Linden run "bot-parks" and "police bots". I find it really inexcusable that these "non paying" bots take over areas where I pay good cash to enjoy my Second Life After 15 yrs in this place, surely I should get some priorities for all that I have put in.. As you can probably tell, I am still a bit "miffed" haha
  7. Hi and thanks for all the suggestions and comments. I think its unlikely I have an enemy that would wish this on me... it really doesn't stack up, so I am discounting that. Yes the sim is now clear, after todays scheduled restart, so all good there... until they return. What is a bit annoying is the lack of help from all the abuse reports and support tickets I, and many others, have filed... not a word from any of The Lindens sadly. I requested a re-start to clear the sim, but whats the point if that doesn't happen within a reasonable time Unfortunately I really don't see any advantage in having a premium account if all this persists, with no support. Thanks again
  8. Yes I understand that... but my question is not that its an orange cloud... They are bots that are taking up a sims avatar allowance, camped on abandoned land. I need them GONE, so I can run events and use my own parcel in Nina to its proper capacity. Thanks anyway for your comment
  9. And they are still there today!!!... I've attached a photo of the (???,???) avatar I asked for a sim restart yesterday!!!... it's really not good enough.
  10. Hi everyone I bought a small section of mainland recently, in a mostly abandoned sim called Nina, and set up a small music venue, with events planned for each week. I then got it listed in the Destination guide… It’s called The Marquee Club. But a problem has now arisen that has become a real pain. Multiple Avatars/bots keep appearing, sometimes up to 30 in the abandoned area of the sim. They do not respond to any im’s and all have similar surnames. (photo attached) This is obviously impacting on my ability to host events in my parcel, using up the avatar allowance, and despite filing abuse reports and tickets with The Lindens, I have received no soloutions… nothing seems to cure it The situation was complicated yesterday by the appearance of another avatar, named (???,???), that is the actual name and not me hiding the name… which when I im’d showed up as offline. I really don’t know what to do next, other than dumping my premium account and gong to a private estate sim, where I can get better support. Has anyone here ever had a similar experience? Thanks for any help offered Geoff [Image removed by moderator]
  11. Nice effect, but I think its overdone... not realistic at all... sorry
  12. Thank you for the replies... so I presume the best route is to first, upgrade, then be in place to move when the right home/land comes up... be it new or an abandoned one? Cheers
  13. Hi I am looking to possibly upgrade to premium, but the housing and land seems a little confusing... to me at least. A friend (premium) has a home on a 1024sqm plot with a "Traditional" home and approx 350 prims, but when I looked at what I could get by going premium, all I see are 512 sqm plots and 175 prims, and some, not so good looking homes. Have the houses and land allocations changed? Thanks for any help offered. Geoff
